Crave

Wakata, Prague

Lounge, bar, club, we’re not sure.

Wakata-detail_full_for_exchange

Wakata is not your average Prague bar. For some strange reason, there are a lot of very large UK-vibed pubs in Prague, and gigantic eurotrash nightclubs, so sometimes it’s tricky to find a cool little spot for a drink.

But never fear: these places exist. You just have to look a little harder.

One such spot is Wakata, a little dive bar that is proud as punch of its resident (and visiting) DJs. It’s not the fanciest of places – there’s a basic bar where you can get pretty standard drinks, a few lounges and, in the backroom, some booths. Add some fairy lights and music that ranges from hip hop to house and it could be the place for you.

Make sure you check ahead of time what style music is set for your visit – some nights are a little heavier than others – and na zdravi!

Wakata is at Malířská 14, Prague 7.
