Crave

Walter’s, Fort Greene

A little bit classy.

Walters-detail_full_for_exchange

The tagline at Walter’s is “Open ‘til late” but that makes it seem like late-night hours is all this place has going for it. Let us assure you, there’s a lot more to be impressed by at Walter’s.

The lovely old-fashioned appearing restaurant is dimly lit and the vibe is a grown-up version of a bar – not exactly boisterous, but noisy and busy nonetheless. Sit at the bar and chat to your friendly barman, or take a seat and enjoy a proper sit-down brunch, lunch, dinner or nightcap.

We suggest starting just about any meal at Walter’s with a few oysters, but then there’s a huge range of meals to enjoy like spicy fisherman’s stew, rib burger on brioche, or lobster bucatini. If you’re just in it for a bar snack, you won’t be disappointed: anchovy bread, steamed duck buns, and wings.

They also do a killer brunch.

Walter’s is at 166 Dekalb Ave, Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
