Wayne's, Nice

For those after more than just a 'nice' night out...

Self-proclaimed as 'the best bar in Nice', Wayne's is a bustling bar/restaurant that, although not typically French, promises an awesome night out when in the French Riviera!

Tucked away in one of the little streets in Nice's 'Old Town', Wayne's is a hit with the backpackers and is a proudly British owned night spot that offers quality homemade food, great music, a wicked atmosphere and dancing, lots of dancing! Wayne's boasts a kitchen of Irish and English chefs so if you have a hankering for no-fuss burgers, fish & chips, mexican inspired dishes or sandwiches, then grab a bite to eat here before hitting the bar. If you want to make the most of your time in this beautiful French city and indulge in the authentic local cuisine, then we'd suggest dining at one of the many restaurants in the square before retreating to Wayne's. The Old Town is alive with hundreds of restaurants and cafes and they are reasonably priced considering the portion sizes.

Wayne's usually picks up around 11pm so there's plenty of time to get yourself ready, grab some dinner and get stuck into the pre-drinks. The bar has a live band every single night so no matter what the day, it always draws the crowds and is usually the busiest in town. Bright Lights is the house band and these guys play popular pop/rock songs from the 60's onwards. When they're not doing the entertaining, you can catch the likes of David Zincke (an acoustic set) and Pete & Folks (a folk quartet), who alway get the crowds going. Following the bands, Wayne's host a DJ who pump out the tracks into the wee hours, by which time not a single table is left without people dancing on top.

If you're looking for a place to retreat during the day or early evening, Wayne's shows all the major European sporting events so is a popular choice for sports fanatics. It boasts three large flatscreens, a huge projector and a packed events calendar, so you'll never miss a game. Wayne's will be broadcasting all of the 2012 Olympics and is predicting a very busy summer!

With an extesive drinks menu of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails, Wayne's is definitely a peope pleaser and a place with something for everyone! Check out or get yourself straight to the party at 5 Rue de la Prefecture, 06300, Nice.
