We know about pie-eating contests and hotdog-eating contests and all that kind of Western World malarkey, but who the hell knew about the German ‘sport’ of tobacco sniffing?
Last week, Peutenhausen in Germany was home to the 18th World Tobacco Sniffing Championships where about 300 competitors tried to snort as much snuff up their noses as possible. Apparently about five grams in just one minute.
The winner has the least amount of tobacco left and the cleanest ‘work’ station.
We can’t believe it’s real. We can’t believe we missed it. We definitely want to go to next year’s instalment.
