Hey Guys,
I really want to do the Best of USA Tour, and was wondering, if I have already a packed suitcase with no more extra room, what happens or what do I do, if I buy thousands of souvenirs?

I was booked on the Cairns Sunshine Trail from 11th April but have had a call today to say that it’s been cancelled due to not enough people being booked on it. I’m gutted, are there a group of others who have also been cancelled that fancy making a group for a mini-bus road trip? Or does anyone know of any other companies like Contiki that do similar trips?
None of the other Contiki trips fit in with our dates as we booked our flights exactly to fit in with the trip.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
Have been going backwards and forwards trying to decide on Mykonos or doing the cruise. I have read several reviews, but would appreciate people who have recently done either….
The money is not the issue – just can’t decide. I want to relax and do washing – can you do washing in both Mykonos and on the crusie?
Thankyou for any suggestions.
Am looking at doing tour leaving 07/09/08.

Hi all
My partner and I are booked on the 23rd March 07 with European Encounter.
Does anyone know what the weather would be like. Is it going to be that cold we will need thick woolen jumpers.
Or should I be asking is it going to be like Melbourne weather…. hahaha!!
Cheers

Hey guys! First time traveler (except a school trip to NZ 4 years ago) and need some advice big time about the London to Paris tour in Jan 09. I’m 21 and will be travelling with my partner of 4 years.
I have no idea about spending money, and all I have been reading says that London is expensive! I don’t really plan on drinking every night (might have one big night and a couple every now and then) but want to see most on offer and do a bit of shopping!
Any advice from past travellers? Is is cheaper at that time of year? I’ve read 100 Euros per day but then I don’t want to drink my money away.
Any advice on that trip would be awesome, everything I have read has helped but nothing 100% in line with my situation.
Thanks again,
Jodie

Hi everyone,
I’m doing the Grand Southern LA to NY starting next week, but can only stay one night in NY at the end of the trip. I have about half a day to look around before I have to head for the airport – any advice on how to make the most of that time? I’m staying at the Milford Plaza Hotel near Broadway. Even if I could make it to one good department store I’d be happy.

Hi All,
I am planning to do the Wild Western tour in September next year and just noticed it starts and finishes in L.A. instead of Anaheim.
I did LA to the Bay two years ago and the tour left from Anaheim which meant we could arrive early and spend a couple of days at Disneyland which was fantastic.
Apparently the contiki website states Anaheim but the brochure states L.A. for the departure and end point – just wondering if anyone knows which one is correct?

Tipping guides from Fodor’s web site:
http://www.fodors.com/features/nfdisplay1.cfm?name=stt/…4_stt_tg_germany.cfm
Keep in mind that Europe is not a single country. Tipping customs vary from country to country.
Some quotes:
***GERMANY***
Service charges (listed as Bedienung) are included in all restaurant checks. Nonetheless, it is customary to round up the bill to the nearest euro or to leave about 5% (give it to the waiter or waitress as you pay the bill; don’t leave it on the table, as that’s considered rude).
***UK***
Some restaurants and most hotels add a service charge of 10%-15% to the bill. If this has been done, you’re under no obligation to tip further. If no service charge is indicated, add 10%-15% to your total bill, unless you are unhappy with the service given.
***FRANCE***
The bill in a bar or restaurant includes service, but it’s customary to leave some small change unless you’re dissatisfied. The amount varies, from €1.50 to €4.50 for a meal.

I have heard that while on Contiki the best thing to do is budget about 100 Euro a day. But I am staying in London a few days before and after my tour and was wondering what I should budget for staying there. I’m not looking to do any shopping really, most likely just a few cheap souveniers, a couple of drinks a night, transport around, general entry to a few cheaper places and meals. I would pre book and pay for major things that I wanted to do as well as accomodation.
I have heard that London is quite expensive.
Thanks for your help.

I am trying to decide which tour to take. My time and money are limited so I am looking for something possibly under a week and under $1000. Has anyone done the magical tropics tour? Or the learn to dive tour? Any other suggestions? If you have done these tours please let me know what you thought.
