hey!
im doing the aegean classic tour which is basically just a 4 day cruise with stopovers on the islands.
has anyone done this, how much cash should i take?
ill prob pay the onboard ship account with my card, but is there anything to buy on the islands?

Hey im going on the grand southern next year and i just want to know is it safe to drink the tap water everywhere in America. Ive heard rumors that its better to drink bottled water and when you watch American tv shows they always drink bottled water. Does anyone know if it matters if you drink the water or not will you get sick?

I’m from the US and want to do both an Australia (Beaches and Reefs) tour as well as a New Zealand (Grand Explorer) tour back to back. Given the regular route and the reverse options…I am not sure what the easiest order would be. Start in Auckland and tour north, then head over to Sydney and travel north, or to Cairns and travel south? Or do Australia first then NZ?? Anyone have an advice or have done something similar?

Guys pretty simple question how do we do it? I was thinking to we book it before we leave for the contiki tour? Or do we book in the night or day of the tour?
Im thinking about bookin them in a few weeks but just unsure what is the best method.

i am an american girl most likely going on tour in summer of 2008.
i have heard that most of the people on these tours are australian, and all i can picture is a group of 30 or so aussies in a group and the 6 americans on their own.
knowing most of the world doesn’t view americans with fondness, is their tension between the two groups on these tours? honestly, i’m an open-minded, fun girl who has traveled and doesn’t think america should run the world, so my personality shouldn’t cause a problem.

I have the most common question but one that I need a good answer for?
My boyfriend and I are doing the winter wanderer in november we have no idea how much money we are likely to spend?
If we plan to do all the optional extras, will we need alot more money on top of that?
anyway if anybody has advice, please in aussi dollars per day/optional extras.

Hey I am kinda trying to put in some plans for Sept/Oct/Nov 2008 and was wondering what the usual weather is around this time. Its cold here and was hoping to get to a warmer climate for this time.
Also planning on doing the Aussie Explorer starting in Darwin and was wondering about the sailing?? Has anyone done it and what were your thoughts on it.
Also what is the flying time from Sydney to Darwin???

Im going on the Euro Discovery Tour leaving jan 1st 08, Was just wondering if there are any measurements or like restrictions on taking backpacks? I know u cant take metal framed ones. Although I am still TOTALLY unsure if i want to take a back pack or suitcase!!!! ????

Hi, ive had a look at a few threads but im still not sure if we are able to leave a backpack or something on the bus, and then just take a pacsafe bag if we stop off somewhere? will it be safe to leave a bag on the bus even if its locked?

Hey Everyone,
My girlfriend and I are looking at doing the Grand Southern starting in LA- finishing New York in November through to December.
Just wondering what the whether is like. I know it’s cold, but being an Aussie who has never seen snow I have no idea what to expect or pack.
Hopefully we will be spending Christmas in New York, any suggestions or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!

I tried doing a search but did not find an answer. If I am from the US and are doing the European Contrasts tour, do I need visas from any of the countries involved?
