This is my first time with contiki! I was curious to see if anyone has gone on european explorer and at what week i should go during the summertime? And can anyone give advice for traveling with contiki! Is it worth it? Thanks jess

Hi,
I have just been told by someone that went on the Wild Western that the hotel in Vegas is pretty rubbish … has anyone else got the same opinion?? I am considering booking my own accomodation for the two nights, has anyone else done this, any opinions???

hi all!!
iv read the travel advice and the ekit website but im still ahving trouble getting my head around what i should get ohone wise…..im going on the european explorer and then traveling around for another 4 months. any advice?

I don’t want to sound like a princess but i’ve read some terrible reviews about the Marrakesh and it sounds like the bed bug problem is still on-going. Some recent photos on tripadvisor showed a guy with some nasty looking bites all over his body. In a situation like that is there any kind of protocol for getting out of an unhygenic hotel like that, when your on a tour with everyone? Would it be ok to leave the hotel? Would the tour manager do anything about it? refund of money?

i will be doing two tours in europe. YAY. hahaha
I will be flying to barcelona during the morning. then i will be getting a cab with my luggage and what not on my own.
I am male 24. But last night my sister was telling me barcelona is notorious for theft.
and kind of freaking me out. lol
Would i be ok getting a taxi to my hotel in spain. Like am i stressing to much??
any reassurances would be appreciated. 
)

I can’t decide rather to bring rechargeable batteries or just bring a box of batteries from home? But I need to know if I do run out I can purchase them from there?

I heard that this chick got sick in europe on a contiki and they just left her they, fair enough they have to carry on with the tour but if she was in hospital they could have atleast helped her make arrangments to get home or something….

Hello,
My sister and I are going on the Aegean Classic Cruise at the end of August. We’ll be spending about 2 days prior to the tour beginning exploring Athens. I believe that the ship disembarks at Pireaus at 11am. Our flight is not till later that evening… any suggestions on what to do in between disembarking from the cruise ship and going to the airport?? Thanks..

Just a quick question, how many stamps do you need to post a letter or even just a postcard to Australia? South Australia specificly but I wouldn’t think that would matter to much. Because my plan is to buy stamps before I start my tour, the day before (even if it’s a while away lol)just wondering how many stamps per postcard. Thanks

I’m about to go on contrasts tour and was wondering how much swiss spending money I would need for the 2 days we are in Switerland??
Have heard it’s expensive there and I won’t be able to take $$ out from ATM so need to have enough cash to take with me.
Any advice on how much we need would be great

Im sure this topic had been brought up many times, but I was still a little confused…
I was wondering what were people experiences with cash versus using a card (like Travelex). I was going to get a Travelex card, becuase I didnt want to carry too much cash on me. But can I use it like a VISA card when I go into shops? Or do I have to take out money when I see an ATM? Do many stores accept cards or do they only accept cash? What about bars, are they cash only too?
Sorry for all the questions…Im a virgin when it comes to going to Europe

I just wanted some advice…i’m planning on travelling around the US (north) for 6 months starting in May, i’m a 22 yr old girl and i’ll be on my own…I have a kinda route i want to take so don’t really want to be restricted to a tour but friends have said it might be a good idea to start with a tour to meet people etc…?

any one know of a good new york hostel i finish tour in june and in new york for a week so alittle expensive to spend a week or many nights at the contiki hotel. any hostels u know of that are near the marrakech hotel( contiki hotel)??
