Hi, I’m going on the best of USA tour in September and was wondering about the Grand Canyon Helicopter rides… I think I want to do the one that lands in the grand canyon and we have lunch there etc. I heard its about USD$400… is it worth it??

Hi there,
My UE will go to Monaco, but I don’t want to pack a whole set of formal clothes, especially dress shoe just to go inside of these fancy casinos.
Do you think if there is place in Monaco you can rent formal clothes and shoe? if you done the similar tour, what was your idea in this situation?
I bought a international Adaptor which will accomodate different wall-plug in europe and egypt. It doesn’t convert voltage. mainly, I used for Camera Battery charger, cellphone charger. all those device states voltage from 110~240V, so I should be fine, right?
Thanks for answering my question

hey everyone,
Im off to the Uk + Europe in just over a week…just want to know whether my straightener would work overseas…I know there has been posts about this topic a while ago, but cant remember what the standards are for it to be working properly?
Ive got a ‘wet to straight’ starightener and it says on the tag that its 230 – 240 volts, 50Hz AC only, 64 watts – can anyone please tell me what this means!? Sorry for the random/stupid question!
Cheers
Izelle

Does anyone know when the school holidays are over there? I hate going on hols when there are lots of little school kids around (that & they tend to jack up the price of things!) Also – what months are the better ones to go in……….bundygirl_83@yahoo.com.au

I have a 6 1/2 hour layover in London and was wondering if it is possible to do the London Eye, do a river cruise, see Buckingham Palace, and do some shopping at Harrod’s in that time? I am not overly fussed at seeing everything in London as I am going to be back in London later in the year.

Hi everyone,
My friend and I are spending two days in New Orleans before we start our contiki (Eastern Discovery) on the 29th of December 09.
What I am wanting to know is what you actually do/see in New Orleans when you are with the contiki group so that we can plan things to do that we aren’t going to be doubling up and wasting time that we could have used to see something else.
Thanks!

I’m seriously considering going back to Europe in 2010, but there’s one thing that’s holding me back – money!
I know that I would be able to save up some spending money by the time I go, but I am thinking about getting a personal loan, or putting the flights and contiki tour on my credit card.
I saved for my last trip and it was great to come home without a debt, but I was wondering what other people have done or are planning to do??
Have you saved up for ages? Or do you think it’s worth coming home to a small debt to be able to go when you want?

Anyone know of any good companies that make slingback or messenger bags that are slashproof and comfy?
I refused to leave camera, other valuables in the hotel room.
Should I worry about leaving stuff like that in a hotel room even if it’s in a safe?

Not sure if I’m missing this but…The USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand have a Where you stay in… Section/Link to view where your staying while your on tour and Europe does not? This is located in the Contikipedia section. I did notice Europe has a Section/Link Hotels and Accommdation but does not work…Anyone know where one can find out this Information or if Contiki is working on it?

Hi, I only have 2 days in London and want to jam in as much as I can. On one of the days I have booked a Wimbledon tour (check in at 11.30am) and a Jack the Ripper tour at 6pm (meeting at Aldgate East Underground Station) and on the same day I want to squeeze in St Pauls Cathedral and a squiz at Buckingham Palace. Does anyone know the best method of transport for this – I don’t know whether to get a Hop on, hop off pass plus pay for the tube to go to Wimbledon – or should I get a tube pass for the day?
