Hey, i’m meeting my sister in France after my tour, and i’m trying to work out trains and places to stay, etc.
Would it be easier if i got my travel agent to sort all this out, or is that a bit much to ask of them?
thanks ![]()

Hey Guyz,
Now I understand that this topic has come up before and such and I have read the past threads but I am really worried bout my suitcase size. This is my first trip and I have never been overseas before so yes I am panicking probably a bit to much. I just sized up this suitcase I have, and it is 81cm x 53cm x 30cm I understand it is supposed to be 73 cm x 50cm x 25cm and I have read that they don’t actually get out a tape measure on you but the bad luck I have I’m so scared they will pull me up and go yeah missy cya later ha-ha. Do you think my suitcase is a bit much to over….its just the other suitcase I have is real small and way under the size limit but I didn’t want to screw myself out of extra space for souvenirs.
Any help at all and I do apologize for repeating the subject it’s just playing on my mind and I am quite nervous but I do believe I everything and set to go. I am more then likely to organised as one of my friends laughed at me and said hey you can organise my next trip for me lol.
Thanks for your time and any help will be much appreciated
Nikki

Hi. I’m from Australia and wanting to know if anyone has been on the London to Athens tour during the summer time. I need some advice on whether its a good tour to do, what to pack and if its good to do solo?

Hey I just wanted to know what the best was to get from (and back to) the Royal National Hotel to the 436 Great Castle Street West End, Greater London location of Top Shop. If it’s easier to walk pleae let me know!
The directions on this address for Top Shop: 60/64 The Strand, Greater London seem easier to walk (more straight forward. Google maps tells me you mostly walk down Russel Square even though the time is a bit longer..9 minutes as oppose to 6.)
Thanks!

Just after a bit of help, I am heading to Europe at the start of April, doing European Experience and then sticking around working in London until October. I am unsure as to what the weather will be like when I first get there and what sort of clothes I need to bring.. will I need thermals or a big thick warm jacket or should it be starting to warm up by then?

I know you’ll need plane tickets, and to fill out those little cards on the plane etc, but in terms of organising things before departure
VISA
ESTA
Passport
Anything else???

im doing the european discovery tour – just wondering if you can leave your day bag/laptop on the bus while on stops etc? how safe is it? and does one item of hand luggage mean only one or can it mean a day/overnight bag plus a handbag?

Hi, doing the Eastern Discovery in September, and notice that some of the travelling takes up fair chunks of a day, so can imagine there’s be some meal stops. Just wondering, would these be at proper restaurants/diners or at those “strip malls” you see all over the highways in the US?

Hey everyone,
I’m doing the Grand Southern in January.
We get into LA on the 8th Feb and according to Contiki it is around 5pm. I was just curious whether contiki tours usually arrive at the final destination on time. What are some peoples previous experiences?
We are in the process of booking flights to San Francisco for that night and we weren’t sure whether or not to book some around 8-9pm or put it off until 10-11pm just in case the tour is running behind.
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Has anybody been to both of these attractions in London? If I can only go to one which one is better?
Or are they both mediocre and I should skip both :P
The London Bridge Experience and London Tombs comes free with the London pass so that would be my first choice, just wondering if the London Dungeons are worth paying extra to go to ?

Hi,
I’m wanting to book the Ocean to outback trip in september. However, this is the first time I’m travelling with Contiki AND my first time in Australia. I recieved a brochure but there is no contact number or adress of a travel agency in Belgium. Are there any belgians who travelled with Contiki to Australia before?

Hey all!! I’m going on the LA to the Bay tour on January 24th 2007!! Anyone else going on this tour? Also… anyone who has gone on the tour, does anyone have an advice on anything special that I should do. Also how much money do you think I should allow for it?? If anyone IS going on the tour, does anyone want to travel afterward with me? I’ve got a 60 Nation wide bus ticket, so I’m looking for people who want to join me on some areas of the trip! Anyway… let me know! Sorry I have so many questions!!

Like what’s the weather like in SoCal in January? & at the GC? & I’ve never skiied but would love to do so in Tahoe…. Is that an issue? I’m so happy because it turns out we’ll be partying up in vegas the night before my bday

Hey guys, Im looking to do London to Athens (with or without Greek Island hopping, not sure yet) somewhere in early-mid 2010 (sorta as a grad present for myself).
one thing Im worrying about and seeing everywhere is money. Keep in mind I’m from the USA lol.
1. Do the tour packages include airfare to London and from Athens (based on the trip Im choosing)? At the very least, is there a big discount?
2. Is it true that 100 euros a day is typically what is spent daily?
To be honest, this money thing is scaring me. First I thought, oh 3000 isnt too bad for 20 days. But then the flight will probably be around $1000 for round trip. Plus about $150 US a day…. that will end up being about $7000.
Is this what people usually spend on these trips? please help, thanks!
