Okay, I’ve done my research, the places I will be going to are either 230V 50 Hz or 220V 50 Hz.

I think all of these items will work, w/o that transformer thing.. could someone look these over for me? lol

1) iPod wall charger: 110-240V, 50-60 Hz

2) Camera battery charger: 110-240V, 50-60 Hz

3) Cell wall charger: 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz

4) Hair Dryer: 120-240V 60 Hz

Hi
Was wondering if the contiki bus stops off in or around Maranello, or Milano and if anyone has done a ferrari factory/museum tour?

Im not expecting many answers on this topic thats for sure.

The tour i am doing is the Highlights, but any tour that goes through italy would take the same route…

Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’m going on my trip in early July (London and Paris + 2 days Paris) and I was wondering if what they tell you on the lay-out for the tour is all included when you have days “on your own” or is this out of your own pocket? Thanks so much!

Hi there,

I am applying for an ancestry visa (i’m staying in the UK to work after my tour), does anyone know generally how long they take to process?

On the Britsh High Commision website it says approx 4 weeks, but i was also told my passport would only be 3 and it took way longer than that. I’m just worried i wont have it, and my passort back in time. I’m leaving in about 10 weeks.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

Hey, has anyone booked a dorm at the London Generator Hostel over the internet? I’m trying to book a dorm, and it says they’re available, but i only get the option of choosing a private room. Am i just being stupid, or is there somewhere else on the site i can go to?

Failing that, i can always call them…

THanks!

From my experience with contiki (asia) and what i’ve read and videos I’ve watched of contiki, it seems its mostly 25 and above, with a sprinkling of the younger ages. What tours tend to appeal to the younger age bracket?

Is there anything that is cheaper to bye in Europe compared to Australia that I should pay attention too? I am travelling 21 day Contrasts which does France Monaco Italy Greece Austria Czech Rep Germany Liechtenstein Switzerland Netherlands Belgium….Your experience in Shopping would be appreciated.

:0)

I know most ppl travel solo on these trips, but i am hoping to do the european highlights with my boyfriend, however Im worried about sleeping arrangements becuase the website made it seem like we will be put in separate rooms often because of 4 person occupancy…anyone have any knowledge on how it will work, I was really excited to go on this trip, but this has kind of become a barrier

Hiya all, I’m from South Africa. The Grand Southern (LA to NY) sounds absoultely awesome and definetly my first choice. My travel month of choice is October 2008. I’m just really concerned cos most ppl seem to be travelling between June and August (I’m guessing cos of summer holidays). I didn’t want to travel with crowds and coming from SA I think it would take too long for me to acclimatise to the US winter so I figured Oct would be a good compromise. It would be great to see how many other’s out there are considering the same tour (even tho its still early in the year). For all of you out there who’ve done the same tour any advice and tips would be really great. I’ll also be going solo so am a bit nervous about that.
Cool.

Hi
ive read good and bad experiences about the food while travelling in europe but havent seen anything about what the food is like for vegetarians when it comes to what is provided on the tour and when youre out and about getting your own meals. So if theres any vegetarians out there please share your experience!

Im looking to do either Asian Adventure or Big Indochina Adventure. The only difference is that one includes Vietnam. The different in the price is massive, so my question is, if i go for the cheaper option the ‘Asian Adventure’..am i really missing out on that much not going to Vietnam? I’d be saving over £1000!

Hi Guys

I am going to Scotland & Ireland from August 9-21 and was wondering what the weather will be like ….. i.e. if I have a long sleeve top and a light jacket (as in a jacket that is worn in Australia since our winters aren’t that cold) would this be warm enough for me (I feel the cold) or would I need a thermal top to go underneath too?

Thanks Smiler

hey,

i was just wondering if anyone had ever been on the European contrasts trip and whether it was a good tour or not.  Im interested in going in a longer tour so if anyone recommends any otheres please tell me.  I’m most likely going to be traveling alone or maybe with one other so I was concerned the age group on the longer trips.  I heard that the longer trips were mainly older people and I will only be 19 on the trip.

Thank you

Hi guys. After a Contiki tour, my mates and I are planning some travelling alone. On one of the legs we’re planning to go from Nice -> Genova via Eurail, and then the Italian trains to somewhere in the Cinque Terre. Just a few questions.

1. Is the station the same for Eurail and the Italian trains?
2. Does our Eurail pass extend to the Italian rail system?
3. Is it easier to go by train or bus or other?
