Since everyone seems to be searching for Egypt tourmates in the Exotics Advice section, I should probably post this message here.
Hi everyone,
My friend and I are
thinking about going on the Egypt & the Nile trip in September or
October. Is anyone else thinking about going at that time? (We’ll
probably book the Sept 22-Oct 1 trip.)
Has anyone been to Egypt in the fall? Is that a good time to go?
I’d love to hear from anyone with any input.

Hi,
I’m getting into London at 5.50am the day before my tour starts and want to try and see as much of London as I can but not sure quite how to go about it considering a lot of attractions probably won’t open til later in the morning (including the contiki basement).
Anyone been there done that – have any suggestions?
Thanks ![]()

ello everybody,
I have a question about the grand southern, did anybody already done this trip?
I want to do this trip, but I had never heard about contiki and don’t know what to expect. Last year i went to Mexico with the Belgium organisation kriskras. Can I compare it with that?
And which type of people are going on that trip?
I heard that you have to look for you own flight tickets, what are the possibilities?
I am form Belgium, have there already been some belgium people that took a trip with contiki
thx for your help..

Hey everyone-
I was wondering what type of pillow most people bring on the bus. I have gathered that alot of sleeping takes place on the bus, but I don’t know if a small travel pillow is enough for me to sleep comfortably. One the other hand, I dont want to be the obnoxious one with the huge pillow, or have to lug it around…
Any advice??

My sister and I are doing the London + Paris/Extended trip on June 10th, and we’re going to have a few free days in Paris. I’m looking for suggestions of sights to see, places to eat, whatever you can recommend.
We both love shopping, and designer shopping (we’re girls; it’s a given). I’m a graphic designer so I love art and architecture. And we want to make sure to check out some cafes or good shops to eat. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to go aside from the Louvre?

Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knew what Europe is like in the fall. I am from Massachusetts and have been to Europe a few times in the past summers. I am planning to go to Europe (one of the European Adventure tours) in September of 2010 when I graduate from grad school! Any information would be great!
Thanks

Hi all,
has anyone ever decided to not take a sleeping bag and just take some sort of sheet?
i’ll be going in July 07 and have just spent $56 on a sleeping sheet thing, its actually a silk sleeping bag insert thing.
but my mum who went 20ish years ago thinks ill be too cold in just a sheet and should take a small sleeping bag and use the sheet (sleeping bag liner) in the sleeping bag to keep it from getting dirty, and if i do get hot to just use the sheet.
also whats the air con like and is there air con in the contiki cabins?
any opinions for those who have been?

Hey everyone!
I am going on the Wild Western tour in June and was wondering if anyone could please give me some advice on bars and casinos..
The problem is, I am only 20 so I can’t buy alcohol while I am over there. Although I don’t need alcohol to have a good time, I do like a drink or two… Or ten :P.. Does anyone know any good bars in Vegas, LA, San diego, San fran that DON’T check ID? Are they very strict at bars in the US? Also, I heard they sometimes let you into the bar but you can’t buy alcohol.. Is this true? How do other people my age get around the rules!?
The OTHER problem is I don’t know the legal gambling age in the US… Is it 21 also? Will I be stuck in my hotel room most nights in Vegas? If anyone has any good tips on what to do while everyone else is out drinking I’d really like to hear them! I had originally planned to take a tour that was less about partying (if that is possible) because of the age laws but it was all booked out
. Still, better some form of a tour than no tour!
Any advice at all would be great, so thanks in advance ![]()

Hi – so my travel agent told me a sleeping bag is required. I booked a budget trip to Europe for ’07. Can anyone shed some light on why a sleeping bag is needed. I have a camping sleeping bag, but have a feeling that I will need one quite smaller to trek around with me and perhaps a travel pillow. Any knowledge or advice?

We are planning to go on the London-Paris-Amsterdam trip in december. Was wondering how much should we budget the expense other than the tour cost per day as? In the range of EUR50??
Thanks.
