Hi, i’m starting to look into what tour i will do and i really want to go to a concentration camp while i’m in europe so i was wondering is there any tour that it is included on the itinery?
I would be happy to pay as an optional but i can’t seem to find any that even offer that.
Thanks, happy travelling

Can someone that has went to Stonehenge through Contiki answer some questions for me? On the website it said that it cost 6.5 Pounds. I am assuming that does not take into account the transportation to get there? How long does the tour take? Is it worth it?

When in LA, if you have the time, try and check out Olvera Street, the oldest part of downtown LA, and an amazing cultural experience. It’s a large mexican marketplace, with amazing people, shopping, food, and experiences. Just take some time and wonder around, taking it all in and watching the street performers. It is directly across the street from the main entrance/exit of Union Station.

Has anyone done a good general day tour of LA… or would it be better to try and do it yourself?

Is it possible to break off from tour for a day? I’m doing a highlights tour and have been looking at the possibility of splitting from the tour in Munich and getting an overnight sleeper to Amsterdam, bypassing the rhine valley overnight stop. I was just wondering if a) this is possible, and b) do the tour staff get annoyed if people do this?

Hi,
im planning on doing the eastern discovery next summer (june/july/august 09). i was thinking of flying to new orleans and having a few days there before the tour starts to get used to the time difference (im in the UK), and then spending time in new york afterwards. is it worth doing the new york tour afterwards or just doing sight seeing yourself (there are 2 of us going)? thanks

My friends and I are going on the grand Adventurer in NZ at the end of April. We were wondering what sort of clothes to pack (will it be warm or cold) and we didn’t know whether we should take a suitcase of packs?

Hi everyone
This is just a question for those of you who have been on the tour – how did you go about obtaining your visa? Did you get it upon arrival or before you left?
I’m worried because I’ve heard they do not issue visas at the border late at night (the place that issues them does apparently close). I wouldve thought they’d issue them at anytime through immigration, which is obviously always there. My flight arrives at 22.30 so i am bit worried.
Was the visa easy to obtain? Do you have to prove ‘sufficient funds’? This is one of my last destinations, and after months of travelling, I’m not sure how ‘sufficient’ my funds will be (of course i will have more than enough, but i’d definitely have alot more if this was my first destination for example).
Any help would be really appreciated.

My UE tour goes to Egypt and Turkey. the embassies in Canada said you can obtain a visa either at point of entry or from Embassy before your trip.
However, Contiki recommend everyone got Egypt and Turkey visa before the Tour becasue it may miss transfer or hold up the whole tour group.
Is anyone who participate these tour has a difficult time obtaining Visa upon arrival?
BTW, I am also visiting Prague, do I need a visa for that?
Thanks

Anyone been on the European Impressions tour and have opinions on the optional excursions? Some of the comments on the board have led me to believe that we should skip them entirely, but don’t want to miss out if there is something that is highly recommended. We are going in mid-May. Thanks!

Hey Guys,
I really want to do the Best of USA Tour, and was wondering, if I have already a packed suitcase with no more extra room, what happens or what do I do, if I buy thousands of souvenirs?
