Hey does anyone have any advice on how to get a UK working visa??? Im from Australia and am trying to work out how to get one and am getting told so many different things. I really need one asap because I’m leaving in 3 months so any advice would be awesome!

Coming from the US realisticly how much should you have to pay for the trip, medical insurance, airfare, passport, and spending money (food, excursions, etc)?
I am thinking of going on the Explorer tour (that’s the longer one right?) and want to know how much it might be and if I could possibly do it.

Hey everyone, I am considering doing the northern escape tour this September. Has anyone done the tour or the Grand Northern? I am concerned about joining the grand northern when they are halfway through as everyone will already know eachother. Has anyone been on the grand northern or northern escape and have any thoughts about this?

Hi Just a quick Question, i received my travel documents from contiki today. I noticed that the Hotel at The end in New York is the beacon Hotel not the Marrach, does Contiki no longer use the Marrach. and is any one else on the tour booked into the Beacon Hotel

okay so I’ve been reading a lot about luggage and I’ve got everything straight except for what you can take on the bus- from my understanding, you can take the 20 k suitcase and then one small carry on onto the bus?

hey guys,
planning to go on the vista(21 days) or the inspiration(19 days) – i really don’t know if its worth going to monaco/rhine valley instead of the 2 nights in Berlin(which the inspiration offers), as im not really a signtseeing person.
Also by the looks of it, we’ll be driving from Prague to Rhine Valley on NYE if i do the vista which is abit disapointing. I’m only 20 yrs old so absolutely love the nightlife – i just dunno if the vista will be as satisfying in terms of the destinations and nightlife compared with the vista tour.
So if anyone could give me some directions/help as to which one that would be great!

A freind of mine recommended this could come in handy. And you don’t need to be from Europe either to get one. Does anyone know if these are worth the 14 euros I think it is to get one?

G’Day,
I’ll be in New York for a week and then doing 2 tours in LA in the last few weeks of Feb 08. Just wondering what the weather will be like at that time of year?
Also, when in New York I wont be on a contiki tour so just wondering how easy it will be to get around without actually knowing where exactly to go. I dont really want to spend a fortune on taxis, so any advice will be appreciated.

Hi guys, just wondering what thoughts people have about what to bring when going out at night as in to pubs/nightclubs etc.? is it safe to leave passports and other travel documents at the hostel locked in our suitcase or is it advisable to bring these with us? i have bought a pouch thing that is meant to be strapped around the stomach. hope that makes sense?

I finish uni at the end of 09, summer in aus, winter europe. Was wondering wether its worth deferring my last semester instead, to get to europe in summer july > october, or can you have an equally fun experience in winter dec>march? ? Whats the crowd like? There is no beach-going to be done in winter is there. How does it affect the things you can do over there?

This is probably a topic discussed already but im going on a Europian Discovery tour & wasn’t sure if we need a sleeping bag or not. I received the itinery of where we’re staying on the tour & all the places we’re staying at are hotels??? We’re not camping or staying at any hostels so i don’t see a need to take one and carry extra luggage. If we do require to take one please let me know…. Thanks

Hi all I’m a 21 year old aussie chick thinking about doing the Grand Southern tour next year, I’m just wondering if anyone else is staying on after the tour? I’d love to travel around for a few months after the tour ends and then possibly do another one including mexico before going home. As i’m travelling solo I’d like to meet someone on the tour to travel with, what do you think?

Hi all, I was just wandering if there is anyone out there who can help me with a “tough” decision. I’m having a hard time trying to decide if I want to take a Wheeled Backpack (which is amost exactly like a suitcase in every way) or a wheeled suitcase. I’m going to be doing the Euro Inspirations tour in December. I am worried that if I take a suitcase it’ll be hard to lug up stairs but I’m just not quite sold on a wheelie backpack as of yet.. Any advice is welcomed!!

Can anyone tell me if there is a walmart within a realistic range from the Kyoto?
after I arrive Ill have the whole afternoon to kill so I figure that would be a perfect time to head over to walmart and purchase one of them pre-paid phones.
Im looking at Net10, but if anyone has any other suggestions for a phone or shop to buy a phone I would be very interested in that.

I’m looking inthe Aussie Explorer for July-August. What is the weather going to be like? Since its like winter are the temperatures really cold?

sorry if i’m asking pretty basic questions but i’ve travelled to alot of places but this is my first time exploring europe. I’m from canada and looking to explore europe for about 2-3 weeks. I was looking at the European discovery for 14 days package and interested in that one!
How does it work? it says the tours start off at london. i’m from canada, so do i need to get my own flight to london first?
and for those previous europe travellors.. how many meals and such do these include? and accomodation? and how about spending money?
