Since it will be winter time…..was wondering if it is worth it to do the Explorer, which goes to Bay of Islands, or just do the Adventure & spend the two extra nights Auckland.

I’m having trouble deciding which tour to choose. I like the contrasts as it goes to Prague, which is supposed to be amazing, although i’m worried that as there isn’t much discussion here about it, that it won’t be a popular tour. So i’d like to hear from people how they decided which tour to go on… money or Destination?

I just saw on the news that there has been some substantial rain in Italy and Venice has flooded? Does anyone know:
-How long does it take for flood water in Venice to subside?
-What happens if it is flooded and your tour is there?

Hey, im currently planning a contiki trip for next year. I’m wanting to do the Europe camping 46 days. I’m hoping to book mid this year, but was wondering if any of you know when the dates will be published in either the booklet, the website. Or if you can simply go down to a travel agent and book for next year?

Heya,
Im looking at doing a London to Rome trip starting june/July 2007.
Does anyone have any advice on book on a non guranteed departure so far in advance? I had an agent say that its rare for a contiki trip in europe to be cancelled in the height of summer. Is that true>?

Hi boya and girls, only one question.
I would like to go to the tour LA to the Bay, I’m alone and a little shy, i don’t speack very good english (scolastic english but I think I can improve in some mounths ).
So, for you, Can I go to this trip Despite these problems?

Hi All,
I’m doing the Beaches and Reefs tour starting from Sydney on the 23 October, arriving on the 21 and then staying in Cairns for a couple of extra nights, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for places to go to get fed and watered in both places? Also what do oyu suggest drinking, here in blighty I’ve tried the usual Aussie suspects, like XXXX and Fosters also Crown, but is there any other decent beer there to be tried

Im booked on the Road to Athens on 2 June then staying at Mykonos Rst for 4 nights. I have been told that I need to book 1 night accomm in Athens in case the ferry isnt on time. The agent told me the only hotel which Contiki does the drop off and pick up is the Ilissos Hotel in Athens @ $200 AU per night single as they dont offer any other rooms.. Is anyone else on this same tour and does anyone know if there are more than 1 hotel in Athens that Contiki will do the drop off and pick up for the ferry terminal to take me to Mykonos… Thanks. Hi all,
I get into Sydney on 29th Dec and I intend on staying in a hotel on the first night. However, as I want to ring in the New Year and have fun, I want to check into somewhere a bit more lively until I head off on the “Beaches and Reefs” tour on 2nd January.
I’ve noticed on HostelWorld.com that many hostels require a minimum stay of 10+ days etc. Can anybody recommend a place to stay, or indeed are there any fellow travellers who want to meet before the 14day trip up the East Coast?

hello everybody!
My name is Matt and I am from Canada. Edmonton to be exact. Me and two of my friends are planning to do the beaches and reefs tour in sept/oct of 2006. We have been trying to shop around for deals on flights, but haven’t been too successful on finding anything a reasonable price. All the flights from Canada are killer. Does anybody know of a good place to go to get a descent rate, or is it cheapest to purchase through contiki? Help from a fellow Canadian would be great!

I am doing one of the island hopping tours in July, but am also staying in Athens for an extra 5 days all up. Just wanted to know from those that have already been, what things I should look out for. What is going to be the best way to spend my free time there, and if there are any interesting things to see or do that i probably won’t get to on my tour???

I was just interested in how many people are in each tour group – someone said a secondbus was added to their tour? and someone said they only met 1 person in the “meeting place” out of the 50ish people. just wondering how many people – i thought it was about 20!t

I have my sights set on doing the grand southern tour in early to mid 2009. I was hoping for all advice and tips I could get on this. Any and all input welcome. Especially from anyone that did it as a single as thats what I will be doing. Also anyone planning to go around the same time so I can have someone to lament with over the loss of social life while I save all my $$$ : )

i’m assuming they have to be paid for in cash, i’m just wondering how they handle this? is each optional paid for as you decide to go, or do you have to decide on all the ones you want to go to at the beginning and pay for all together?
also, i’m trying to decide whether or not to go to the moulin rouge. is it worth it? ive read a few mixed opinions and just wanted to hear from more people.

hi,
I am ready to book my trip in June/July next year (European Contrasts) and I really want to See Auschwitz-Birkenau.
None of the Contiki tours that I can afford go near there. Is there any way of doing this as a day trip? Or, are there any other significant mhistorical military site closer to shere the trips go that I may not know about?
