I am tossing up weather or not to bring my laptop. Mostly for photos and entertainment plus free internet access wherever there is wifi rather than having to pay. What is security like in the contiki villages and accommodation??
Has anyone taken one and wished they didn’t.

I’ve booked the Northern Highlights (start Auckland) tour just recently and have decided I’ll be using my mastercard when not using cash to make purchases. A friend told me when he went to the Southern Island that most places he went to mastercard never worked and the shopkeepers either had to do everything manually or he ended up using cash.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it just the Sourthern Island? … Help?

Hi everyone, I’m doing the Winter Wanderer trip departing 26th Jan 08 and just wondered if anyone else was doing this tour? Also wondered if anyone who’s done this tour previously has any comments to make. Thanks! x

Hey,
I’m looking at doing the London 2 Athens and Island Hopping Contiki by my lonesome. Is it safe and easy enough to get out of Athens back to London after the Contiki or are you best off doing a Tour that ends in London when a lone traveller?
And is the Island hopping section on the London to Athens worth the extra money??

My cousin and I are begining to plan a Europe Contiki tour in Dec 2007 and I am just wondering what the weather will be like at that time of year? Who has been during that month? I know it will be cold, but exactly how cold Im not sure! Looking forward to trip!!

Hello,
Can anyone give me some advice on rafting in winter?
I’m doing the scenic southern in sept, and i’m not sure what clothing i’m supposed to take for the rafting.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hey I’m going on my trip in 2 weeks time to London & Paris + 2 Days Paris.
I was wondering if what they send you in the iternary is what is actually PAID for and not extra cost on your part.
Especially with what contiki says we’re doing in Paris: " an opportunity to go to Disneyland Paris, or an excursion to the Champagne region…IT’S UP TO YOU" or "you COULD cruise on the Bateaux Parisian along the Seine.
If anyone could clear this up about what tour things are included within the tour that’d be great so I will know to bring extra money for things that aren’t covered. Thanks!

Heading over to the States mid Feb (am in Europe from jan till feb then head to the states) and i’m just wondering on the clothes side of things for the ladies? I will be hitting NY LA and Vegas?
And Actually, i kno it will be cold…but will it be snowing? In NY anyway?

I’ve seen the topics regarding Ipods, cameras and cell phones. They were very helpful. I was wondering about laptop computers; I’ve seen the travelogs and was wondering if you stopped often at internet cafes or if people brought their own?

I was just wondering how often if at all we’ll have access to a cash mashine, or will be able to pay by credit card (such as for the tours). Should I be bringing copious amounts of cash with me, or should some cash and a card be enough? Any thoughts?

Has anyone ever done this? If yes how did you do it and was it easy?I wouldn’t rent a car. Thinking of catching a Marlins game instead of going to Disneyland on one of our days in Orlando.

Hi! Does anyone know which cities you visit in Germany along the Rhine Valley? I am doing the Euro Adventure tour. I know we will see Munich and Heidelburg but I want to know if I will be seeing Bonn/Cologne as well. I’ll be going back to Germany at the end of my tour, so I may have the chance to see those cities I haven’t seen, but I want to make sure now so that I may plan for them! Thnx!!

Hey guys, im going on the Best of USA tour in OCt 08.
Has anyone been on this tour or has any sort of reccommendations in regards to spending money and tips etc Or even optionals which are good and which weren’t as good?
I’d really like some advice.. I’m going to Europe for 6 weeks prior to heading to America so i want to save enough haha.
