Hey Guys
I have a small amount of stuff i’d like to leave at the Basement while on tour?
Can anyone advise what the security is like for anything left in the Basement?

Going on the London to Rome tour in April ’07. Its a 21-day tour. Trying to set up a budget to know how much money to take. How would you base how much money one needs? Im thinking 1500-2000 for spending. Whats the best way to carry it? Cash? Travellers Cheques?

I’ve got my heart set on the european vista tour in 2008. i’m not really fussed if its cold or hot. but is there anytime of year that europe is more pleasant than the rest of the year? and who else has the vista tour in mind?

Hi!
I am looking to these to tours as I see they join up on certain dates and was wondering if anyone can tell me what its like?
I see in the short description that we don’t meet the tour manager & group until the evening. So would it be better to fly in on that day or the day before?
Is anyone doing these 2 tours in 2007? I am hoping to do it in either June or July.
I would really appreciate it if someone can help me out. It is the first time I am travelling alone and VERY nervous!

How much luggage is aloud on the busses? I am doing a get awayso not a whole lot of time spent on the buss. But is it the same as the airlines or is there more restriction. Just need to know if I need to buy a new bag or not. I basically plan on bringing one small/med suitcase and one travel day bag.

I’m heading on the Winter Adventurer tour soon and want to take my own snowboard. What I’m trying to figure out is if I have to use my snow board bag as my suitcase or if I can take both?

Can anyone tell me the location of Contiki HQ for trips leaving from London. I am flying in from Aus. and want some basic accommodation around HQ so it’s not such an effort to lug suitcases etc from the other side of the city.

I am trying to decide whether to do the European Escapade which is 25 days and travels to Spain, or to go on the 29 day European Contrasts tour which misses out on Spain but goes to Corfu, Greece.
Any advice from anyone who has done either tours, or been to both places and which is better????

I booked my trip to London / Paris for the 8-day Contiki. What is included in this package and how much $ should I bring?
Also, which hotel will I be in? I’m guessing it’ll be in the package I recieve…

I’m a little confused by the itinerary of this trip and was just hoping an alum could clarify for me—
for the cruise at the end of the tour, it keeps saying we “dock” in a different port every morning; does that mean the cruise ship departs from the previous port at nighttime? What time do we have to be back on the ship at night? Like 8 pm, or midnight, or 4 am? Do we have time for dinner/going out/whatever on whatever the previous port was? Just a little confused. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I thought I was all set and I only have 2 days till I leave for my trip 
Anyways I have my converter box but the plugs have me confused 
I have one that says Northern Europe and a different plug that said Southern Europe. Which one does Italy fall under. 
To me I’d think Southern Europe but I just want to make sure. Any advice before I go will be most appreciated!

How easy is it to get from the budget Amsterdam Contiki place to the airport on your own? How much is it going to cost me? The flight I want to take leaves at 10:25 am so I’d like to be at the airport by at least 9 (as opposed to 10 with the Contiki group).

Hi there!
I definitely need some advice.My name is Heide and I’m a 23year old female.I am going on european encounter in february07…by myself!!
This is the first time for me abroad.Will I be able to cope?I’m a little bit worried. Everybody keeps telling me that I can’t go alone and that I wont enjoy it without a friend by my side.And to top it of they are also telling me that europe is not a nice country to visit during that time of the year…
Should I just stop dreaming about my overseas trip?

Hey guys,
I need some avice on what to do about mobile phones.
I have an unlocked pre paid mobile. Can i get the sim card that contiki offers and then use it overseas… Is that how it works?
Also, once i get the sim card do i just put it in my phone and it should work?? How do i top up the credit?
So confused…

I’m using a travel agent to book me a hotel the night before the tour begins and she happened to let me know the name of the contiki hotel in Bangkok we will be staying at for the first part of Asian Adventure.
Unfortunately the hotel reviews are very terrible. I could not find one good review on the place..
I realize we’ll be spending little time in our hotel but it very dissapointing to see contiki is having us stay at such a crappy place. The official website looks nice but the reviews state otherwise.
I would like to hear from people who have been on the Asian Adventure tour before and know how the hotels were.
