Im doing the Wild Western Tour in April and i was wondering what size suitcase you are allowed.
I would have already travelled for 20plus days before joining the tour and will have shopped ALOT before so will have a full suitcase.
Is there a limit or can you leave on in the couch and just take a backpack into the cabin/hotel each night?

Ok so now that my tour is less than a month away (Whirl Jul 15- Aug 3rd), I’m starting to freak out! It doesn’t help that I stay up late at night reading all these posts while so very helpful, give me a whole bunch of other stuff to obsess about!! So my latest worry is because of a post I found earlier about BED BUGS. Freaking out here….is this a serious and common thing over there??? Is it worth it getting the silk lined sheets? I apologize in advance, because there’s going to be a LOT more random questions for the next month before I leave

Hi!
I’m thinking of doing one of the Italy tours next Mar/Apr, how are the hotel accomodations? Do we stay in actual hotels, or is it more like hostels or motel 6 type of hotels? Is it clean and safe? I’ve never done the tour before so I don’t know what to expect, any advice would be helpful, thanks!

Hi Daniel 22 Perth Western Australia.
I was planning on doing the Ski trip on July 24th but then it only goes for a week. I’ve never seen New Zealand so I thought I might jump on board the Grand Expolorer, tour the Islands go skiing then come back home.
Is anyone else thinking of doing this?
there is 4 days of limbo between them and was woundering weather anyone will be staying around for the extra 4 days in Chrischurch or Queenstown?

I’m heading out soon and just wanting to know if its hard to get perscription medication while in europe. I’m asthmatic and instead of buying heaps of puffers and taking them with me is there any places I can get them over there.
Any help is great!!!

So im going on the Euro Highlights, and i was wondering, will there ever be a situation where i have to lug my bags around a city, or will it always be in either the room or the bus?

Does anyone know the name of the Cheese and Clog farm the tours stop – it’s very close to Edam and we stopped there after our bike ride around Edam. It was about a 5 minute drive and had a giant yellow clog out the front. I never wrote the name down and i’d like to pass the details onto a friend.
If anyone can help it’d be much appreciated

I couldn’t find anywhere that said this… but how does contiki take payment for the optionals and extra excursions on tour? I would assume that these are done on a day by day basis… but do they have to be paid in cash? If so is it in local currency (eg vietnamese dong) or always US Dollars?

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how far it is from Russell Square to where the Broadway shows are in London? I land at Heathrow around 10:30AM on a wednesday. will there be enough time to get my luggage, hop on the tube to russell square, check in and then make my way to a matinee?

If anyone has been on Aussie Explorer could you give a rough number of Brits you found on your tour out of however many there were in your group

just wondering is there enough time and space to charge everyones music players and cameras? I know I would use both of mine a lot and Im worried I might have to sacrifice music so I can take pictures. How does sharing outlets on the bus work? Thanks :-)

Hi All,
A group of my mates and I are looking at heading to Europe for New Years Eve this year.
I am wondering if anybody has done a tour over the new year period, and if you have, what was it like?
Where were you for new years? Would you recommend it? What did you do? Did you have a good spot to view the fireworks and have a few drinks?

Almost all other Contiki tours advise using a suitcase as luggage. Would it be better to use a backpack/duffel bag as primary luggage for this type of tour instead?

Hi everyone, i have already booked a Greek Island Hopping tour during July, just wanted to get some advice on:
* What the best books are for tourist info/attractions and history etc etc
* Things to see
* Things to be weary of
* Anything that should be done in preperation before going??
Any help would be much appreciated. I am travelling alone for the first time in Euorpe, and don’t want to go unprepared.

hey everyone im going to europe for 5months starting in may 2011 and i was wondering if you would recommend a blanket or sleeping bag.
im staying in hotels until june and then i start my tours which is ‘concept’ and they say bring a sleeping bag.
its right in the middle of summer and could i get by with just a blanket or is it to cold?
if you’ve been before what did you use?
