Hi there,
I read alot posts in the forum about what clothes to pack. for a guy, me too have the similar dilema, especially for these dressy clothes for formal events.
there are several formal occasions in my Ultimate European tour. I have a pair all white Cargo pants, a pair of jeans, a pair of all black khaki convertible pants (the one you zip off, it become the shorts). one polo shirt (short sleeve), and one pair of sneakers/Runners (adidas Bounce),all in one color, black. Do you think if I will be Ok to get in the Restaurant, Club/Bars, Shows or Casinos in Monaco
I want to pack as light as possible, so if it is not necessary, I do not want to bring a dress shirt/Pants and nice leather shoe to the trip. so I only use it for once or twice, and have to carry the extra load all the way in my trip. Please help, thanks alot.

Hi – I’m going on the Simply Italy trip from 5/31 through 6/12. I’ve heard some great things about contiki trips, but the one complaint I’ve heard concerns the dinners. I’ve heard the included dinners aren’t very good – which is fine with me, because I wanted to check out a lot of local Italian restaurants for dinner anyway. Will I have the chance to do that – or do I have to eat whatever the “group dinner” is for the evening?
Also, my friend and I (we’re straight males) are 32 and 34, respectively – I know the trip is for 18-35 year olds, but do many people go who are at least in their late 20s?
Any other advice for the Simply Italy trip?
Thanks – looking forward to going!

Hi my name is Giovanna and I’m from Sydney. I’ll be doing the big 28 day Indochina in November. Just wondering if anyone else is doing this tour.
My only concern is that I don’t ride bikes is this going to be an issue and do they have tandtums?
Any advice is good advice
Cheers

Hi everyone,
This is my first post in these forums. I’m very excited because I just booked my first trip to Europe! I decided to go on the Inspiration Tour because it sounds great! I initially wanted “European Impressions”, but that one doesn’t include Rome. I don’t think you can go to Italy and not visit Rome.
However, the “Impressions” has Barcelona, Spain, which is really important to me because being Mexican, I obviously have some Spanish background. But I decided that Spain deserves a special tour in the future, so I finally decided for “Inspiration”, besides this one goes to Rome, Berlin, and Prague (which I heard is beautiful).
Is anyone going on this tour?
My name is Luis…I’m from Mexico, but I’ve lived in the USA for a long time. My residence is in California (near Palm Springs). I’ll be flying from LAX on July 26.
I hope to meet a lot of great people. Being a teacher, my passion has always been to travel and bring a little culture to my students.
Greetings,

So, a few friends and I are thinking about doing this package. Anybody that’s taken this trip before, what are your reviews? Was there enough time to do enjoy the nightlife? Should we do a seperate trip to Amersterdam altogether? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

I have been looking through the old posts and it seems to look like when people are talking about partying, they are talking about Budget tours. I am about to leave in a few days for a Superior tour (Great Britain and Southern Ireland) and even though I am not a “Party Animal” I am hoping to get some good partying in while experiencing what Europe has to offer. Am I going to be disappointed on the Partying front?

hi :-)
I’m doing the Grand Southern from NY to LA on 20th Feb 09, and I’ve left 6 nights at the end of the tour to pretty much do whatever I want. What are some peoples recommendations? I don’t mind flying to some other states. I’m really keen to check out:
-Chicago
-San Francisco
-San Diego
Also, if it helps, I’m 24 and I’m more into experiencing the culture of places rather than being touristy (although I don’t mind seeing the sights!)
I’m also having two nights in NY prior to the trip, any recommendations on what to see? I’ll probably do the typical Statue of Liberty, Empire State, etc etc, but throw some ideas out there :-)

Thanx

Hey im trying to decide if its worth staying at mgm grand instead of the bad contiki motel. Is it possible to book a room there when u arrive in las vegas (so hopefully i can see if anyone on the tour wants to stay with me as i am travelling alone), or would it be booked up or too expensive booking on the day u arrive? I’ll be there on monday november 24- 25. Has anyone done this before or seen people on their tour decide to stay at a casino hotel?

I am looking into several European tours (winter wanderer and london & paris) and I noticed some people saying their tours start on different dates than what is on the available dates I printed from the website.
Am I crazy or are there other tours I don’t know about???

Can anyone please give me any advise on travelling in europe over christmas and new year… Im looking at doing the European Encounter and think it would be an experience to celebrate the festive season in another country and fellow travellers…

I traveled on previous tours with Contiki. On the European Getaway tour, I recall some wild loud parties every night. However, I am more of the mellow type and not so much into loud parties. I do better socializing in small groups at a cafe. When I traveled on European Getaway, I had a lot of difficulties keeping up with everyone. Does the Australia tours have more of the social environment I’m looking for?

Has anyone got any great ideas on how to spend Christmas Eve/Day and Boxing Day in London. I know most places will be closed but, aside from free attractions, if you know of any markets, pubs, etc that would be open or things you have done in the past on these days please post your suggestions.
Also, my friends and I will be staying at the RN Hotel so if you know of something happening there please let me know.

So I was just curious what to budget for my trip to Berlin/Prague. I have heard to budget about 120 euros a day for other European trips but I am not sure if this is the suggestion for Berlin/Prague. Whats everyone else planning, AND are there any other past travellers to Berlin and Prague that could give me some advice?!?!
