Does anyone know if you can do tripleshare on the US tours?
We did this on our Europe trip but it was a specific option mentioned in the brochures and on the site whereas with the US tours it’s not mentioned so i guess it’s not available?

I’m thinking about doing the Grand Northern next year after doing the Southern this year and having a brilliant time. Just wanted to know what the pick up hotel is? For the Southern we used the Beacon but i have seen some mention on here of the Skyline?

Hi all,
i’m thinking of doing the wild western perhaps sometime next year, I’m from the UK and i’ve done the usual pricing of the package, pricing the flights etc. however, what is actually required for british people to go into the usa as alot of websites seem to contradict each other.
Will Contiki advise me on what documentation I need when I receive paperwork etc from them? Or do they leave you to it? The FAQ mentions visas, but only advises to contact “your visa service or travel agent”.
I’m in two minds of weather to book direct with Contiki, or book through an agent, can anybody share any opinions on which is better? I feel as though because its my first contiki trip on which I’m travelling solo, I might be better booking through an agent as it would be just me to mess this up!!! Can anybody shed any light on which is better? I’m totally clueless to these planned trips as whenever I go ski-ing etc (austria, which is why i am so naive with visas etc.) I have always booked the stuff my self independently, but which is better with this kind of thing?
I know thats quite alot of things to ask, but I’m totally clueless and hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction, or perhaps tell of a personal experience with some of the above.
Cheers,
Karl.

hi all,
i’m planning a european trip for early-mid next year and am currently doing some research to get a head start!
i only ever considered doing a contiki tour but while doing my research have come across some other tour companies such as top deck and budget expeditions which seem to be a bit cheaper than contiki (especially budget expeditions)….but i’m wondering if there is a reason they are cheap!
i know i will be safe with contiki as they are a reputable company, however i would like to spend as little money as possible!
Advice and opinions from either experieced travellers or people in my situation would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Andrea

I booked the Croatian camping 16 days with croatian sailing from a brochure I recieved months ago. I booked May 9th because it had the little tick of gauranteed departure on it. Now the trip has been added to the website recently and there are no ticks! Does this mean my trip is in danger of not going ahead? Sorry, not familiar with the term so I’m worried! Thanks for any help.

HEllo guys,
I just got a silly question about the eiffel tower.
Is it possible to climb to either the first/second platform (depending on how tired we get) and then pay the extra fee from there and get the elevator to the summit? We have decided that we are certain that we want to go to thwe summit but would also like the experience of climbing.
Is it possible to do this? Or do you have to walk back down and get the elevator from the ground up to the summit?
Thanks

Hi,
I will be going on a timeout tour to Europe this July.
I saw on some discussions that I could use either Ekit card or ‘European Union Calling Card’ to call back Australia (Sydney). Can I make those phone calls from the hotel room that I stay? How much is the average charge for the phone calls from the room?
Can I also give my family/friends the phone number of the hotel I am staying and get them to call me? Do I get charge for receiving phone calls?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi everyone.
I have been looking at doing the “Road to Athens” tour, as well as the Egypt tour in March/April/May next year, but have read travel advisories that say Egypt isn’t very safe at the moment, and that I’d need to exercise a “high degree of caution”. I’ve always dreamed of going to Egypt, but am not so sure it’s the best idea. I’ve thought of maybe doing the European Panorama instead – spending more time to explore more of Europe instead of risking my safety. But I don’t want to regret having missed out on possibly the only opportunity I will have to see the beauty of the pyramids and sphinx, and immersing myself in the history of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. WHAT SHOULD I DO!?!?! This will be my first trip overseas, so I’m a bit apprehensive, but still so excited.
Do I follow my heart and dreams and go to Egypt, or do what my brain tells me is safer and just stick to Europe? ![]()
Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
Cassy.

I know this is not particularly a ‘Contiki’ question but was wondering if anyone on here has been to Tallinn?
I’m looking at another tour to mix with my Contiki next year and it starts in Tallinn but I don’t really know much about the place, ie: whether it’s safe for a solo traveller (f/26).
Anyone know?

Couldn’t find this in the search function ![]()
It mentioned in one of the brochures that I can purchase some tickets in the contiki basement for things such as madame tussauds,
tower of London if I am interested(which I am). Are the prices discounted from purchasing at the venue and is it worthwhile buying at the basement? Or is there somewhere else I can buy in advance where I will get a better deal
Thanks in advance
