Hi there,

I’m doing the European Adventurer starting on the 4th July and am wanting to book the Moulin Rouge instead of the cabaret optional listed. Can anyone tell me what night (1st, 2nd or 3rd) that optional would be done as I want to coordinate the Moulin Rouge for the same night.

Hi Everyone
I’m looking at doing the 32 day europe camping trip between June and July this year and i have some questions for anyone who has done this trip or one similar!

What’s the situation with pillows and sheets do we need to take our own?

How hot is it at night, is it uncomfortable to sleep in a stuffy tent?

Are most of the campsites equiped with electrical plugs?

And how many of the campsites have bars for us to hang out at, is it boring at night!

I have read that most people suggest 100 Euro per day of your tour. Does that include money for the optional activities? Or should I bring extra money to pay for those?

Hi everyone

Just wondered from some of you lucky people that have already been to Australia how you find the travelling on the tours? Does it feel like you are never out of the coach?! I am looking at the contrast rock and reef tour but am a little worried that it may quite rushed. Would really appreciate some advice from people in the know! Many thanks xx

I’ll be landing in London, not sure which airport and need to get to the Contiki basement, which is the Royal National Hotel I believe.

What is the best mod of travel for this?

Thanks!

Hi,
I’ll be traveling to London/Paris next month. I was looking at all the Contiki lingo and wondered about “see” and “visit”. For example, it says “see” the Eiffel Tower. Does that mean you drive by and that’s it? Do you have an opportunity to walk it or do you have to do that at on your own time? I’d certainly not want to get all the way to Paris and drive by the Eiffel Tower with a running photo as my memory. Can anyone share insight or your experience with this tour. Thanks in advance!

Hello
Does anyone know if the Travellodge has an airport shuttle? For people who already did this tour, how did you get from the airport to the hotel? Taxi or Bus?

Thanks

I leave in 2 days for my tour

Hey guys and gals
now im doing two contiki tours an egypt one and european vista. now in between the two I have a week and a half in london. i am staying with family out in Reading and am enquiring about transport. Theres a few things that I wanted to do in London on a few days so I think i will be spending most of my time in the city.

I have looked at so many different rail and train and bus web sites ive gone and gotten myself all confused. lol.
so i was hoping that someone might be able to help me out.

I would just like to know how much (cheapest possible!!) a train fare would be from Reading to London Paddington station is? And rather than just getting a one way or return ticket is there any way of saving if I buy like a week pass or something?

And also along with this I would love to know more about the Tube. everyone goes on about it, and using it as the main form of transport but Im just thinking of the money now, how much am i going to be looking at?

Also after my Contiki Vista tour im heading up to Manchester or close near there. I am catching the train from London up there. and I have no idea about public transport within that area. I am hoping to visit a friend in Chorley which is approximately 45 minutes from Manchester and im like yeah ummm how do i get there lol.

So please IF anyone can help me out with this or direct me somewhere where i wont get confused with fare prices etc or if you live in London and you might know could you please get in touch with me.

Thanks a HUGE bunch!

has anyone had to ship stuff back to their home? can anyone tell me how much this is?

i also am spending some time in london before the trip – contiki say they can store your extra luggage – is this true? coz if i can bring more stuff and then store it for the tour that’d be great!

thanks Smiler

Hi everyone,

I’m very aware from all of the threads that your suitcase/main lugguage weight cannot exceed 20kgs. Is Contiki as strict with the dimensions of the suitcase, though?

I have a suitcase that exceeds these dimensions by a few centimetres in width, depth and height. However, if I can ensure it’s less than 20kgs, do you think I should be able to board the tour with no problems?

I’d appreciate if a moderator could let me know as well.

Cheers,

Leea.

I’ve been considering going on the Beaches and Reefs tour the end of May through the beginning of June. For this time of year, what type of clothing should I bring and what is weather traditionally like during this part of the year? Also, it seems that quite a few people recommend starting at Sydney and ending in Cairns. Is that the best way to go during this time of the year as well?

I’m going on the Simply Italy tour on the 14th of Jan and was wondering what kind of pants i should wear. I want to wear jeans but then i thought they would get wet, you know like when it’s raining and your jeans get soaked right up to your knees! I have some skinny leg jeans but i don’t know if they would be any good.

Got my paperwork for my europe inspiration tour which leaves in a month and luggage limit is 4kgs for carry on. This website indicates 5kg so thought I’d mention it …
