I am taking the London/Paris Tour this August, I opted for the single room supplement. I am travelling solo and I am worried now that it will be harder to meet people on the tour. I’m a bit shy but I really want to meet new people on the tour and have a wonderful time. If anyone who reads this has ever opted for a single room please tell me what you have experienced.

Hi everyone,
I’m off on the European Highlights on the 4th of August.
Just curious if any of the hostels we stay at have lockers or safes, I’m a photographer and bringing a fairly expensive camera with me… which I don’t want to take out with me at night. Wondering how everyone gets on with their camera/passports/etc at night? Is locking it your bag and in your room enough??
Thanks!

Ok only 2 weeks to go before my trip and im starting to freak out about everything I possibly can freak out about :P
Im planning on taking two credit cards and one debit card and im wondering what happens if I lose them all!?
I WAS planning on just putting them all in my wallet without really thinking about it but now im thinking to keep them all seperate – like in seperate zippers/wallets, etc rather than all together incase that wallet is stolen. Is this a smart move?
What happens if they are actually all lost? How would you possibly get money from those accounts being overseas where I dont even think my banks exist! I have all the numbers recorded to cancel the cards if I need to but then how would I get to my money?
I know you guys arent banks or anything but I thought maybe you guys would have some ideas or suggestions if this was to happen?
Thanks ![]()

I hear that in Thailand they expect you to dress nicely in order to get into the temples. Like women need to wear skirts, etc.
I would like to hear from people who have been there before: How strict is the temple dress code? I have no problem complying but I also want to be comfortable. Going to be doing a lot of walking and sight seeing!

Hey all….I’m planning on doing a 3-4 week European tour next summer and I’m just starting to gather information. I was wondering if somebody could describe what “Contiki Villages” are and “Contiki special stop-overs” are on the Budget tours. What kind of living conditions are they? Thanks alot.

I have noticed in a couple of posts that people are talking about going on the European Vista guaranteed departure on Aug 9th…
According to my book it says the tour on Aug 11th is guaranteed but Aug 9th is NOT.
Looking at going on the Aug 11th guaranteed one so just checking if this is correct or if my book is wrong lol……

Hey Everyone,
I’m going on a Ultimate Euro (45 days) in May and don’t really want to have to keep re-packing my suitcase every few days because I know it’ll start getting really messy in there.
I’ve found out about these packing cubes which keep everything from going everywhere.
My question/s is do people find them helpful or annoying and do alot of people use them.
I’m trying to get as organised as possible before i go this is my first trip overseas and i’m completely in the dark about the best way to pack everything.
If anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks Janie

Hi everyone, while reading through some posts I noticed some people had brough towels or quick dry towels on their trip. Can someone please explain why you need to bring your own towel? Dont the hotels provide towels?
Also, on the australia trips, is it recommneded to bring tennis shoes or sneakers? Or will I be ok with flip flops?
Thanks.

Hey All,
Question about the excursions for anyone who has done them before or knows the answer. I am trying to figure out how much $$$ to bring and I was wondering if any of the excursions took credit card. I don’t want to walk around with a bunch of cash.

Hi, I’m doing the Northern Escape tour in July and was wondering if anyone knows a shuttle company that will pick up from the airport and take me to Days Inn Lincoln Park North hotel in Chicago. My travel agent can only find a private shuttle company that will do this but it will cost me $150.00. Please help ![]()

1) I have a carry-on that just makes the size restrictions, but I also thought about getting a rolling duffel bag. Which would be better?
2) I know this has been asked many times by others, but for this particular trip…laptop: bring or not to bring? (because it would be great, but not a huge must, to check email)

Hey guys, I heard that the Grand Southern was now going to Miami and I check out the website to discover that (as part of the Grand Southern) the Eastern Discovery is now listed as going to Miami too. When I booked my tour it was still listed as having an extra day in Orlando. My question is- will my tour- starting Sept 11- follow this new itinerary? or the old one? From what I can tell it looks like I’m going to Miami (and the Everglades!) but I just wanted to check.
