Its not a question of cost for me. Which is better for meeting new people and ‘bonding’? Any opinions on the difference (good and bad)? I’m going alone, so I don’t want to be stuck with couples and hence, shut up in my luxury room all night!

Hi,
I’m thinking of doing Alice and Kakadu, i see that theres either a choice to start in alice or start in darwin, is there any difference in the tour itself or are they all the same?
Is a paticular once better than the other?

Ive read a few places that in Europe your pin code for your savings card has to be 4 digits…mine is 6 will i have a problem accessing my account with a longer pin code?
If so it isnt a problem to change my pin code to a 4 digit but would rather not if its possible to use 6 digits ![]()

Hi there, I’m headed on the european whirl (6may 07) and need some advice on arrival times. I know the contiki bus is supposed to arrive back in London about 7pm. Does anyone know if the bus has ever broken down or been really late arriving back at london as I need to catch plane at 10pm that night. Cheers.

Thinking about doing the Grand Northern USA tour next year but in reverse where it starts in LA and ends in NY.
Wanted to book 6 months in advance for the discounts but concerned that since the Contiki 2011 brochure lists only the standard tour from NY that doing the reverse of this or any Contiki tour would have a much higher risk of cancellation and no mention of preferred departure dates yet. The brochure only refers you to the website for details and the reverse tours only depart once a month. I am planning to go around July 2011 which I assume is the busiest time for Contiki tours in USA.
Has anyone done a reverse tour or booked one and had it cancelled? Do reverse tours offer preferred departure dates?
Cheers.

Hi all, has anyone had any problems getting into Canada? A few people have said we will have problems getting into Canada and we need to organise a tempory resident visa or something like that? We are from Australia and were only just told we may need something, which we wont be able to organise now anyway because we leave in 19 days!!
Any thoughts about this would help!

Hi guys! This will be my first time doing a tour such as this and I was wondering whether to take a backpack or just a standard suitcase? I would probably be more comfortable taking a case as backpacks tend not to have as much room and its not like I will need to roam the streets with my luggage anyway.
Anyone got any suggestions? Perhaps someone who has done one of these tours before? Thanks! Liz x

Does anyone remember the name of one of the Contiki Hotels just outside of Rome? I stayed there on my 21 day Contiki Hotel trip back in 2001 and it was soooo awesome…i’d like to go back but I can’t seem to remember the name of it and have lost the hotel name sheet.
It was a huge hotel about 20 min train ride from downtown Rome…it had a cool balcony/bar/restaurant in the back…
Cheers mates, Erin

Hello all. I’m going on the Simply Italy tour followed by the Agean Classic tour in May. I was wondering if I need to bring a beach towel or any other sort of towel… do they have beach towels for people to use?

Was just wondering…
what are you supposed to take for ID when going out? do you have to take your passport? or can you take a drivers licence? or i think you can get and ‘international ID card’ from the RTA – is this ok? or do you need to take anythng at all?
just wondering cos obviously our passports are pretty precious. And even for bag size too when going out (though i guess passpaorts are pretty small!)

Hi everyone. I’ve seen a lot of discussion about womens shoes but not really anything about mens.
All I really need to know is how dressy do mens shoes have to be for getting into night clubs etc?
Reason being is that the only leather shoes I have are cheapies, other than that I could take my semi-sued black human brand shoes, which don’t stand out, or I could take my brown kappa shoes.
Trying not to spend money on stuff unnecessarily so if these kinds of shoes are acceptable, then that’s what I’ll take with me. Any help appreciated, cheers

Can anyone tell me if the Grand Canyon helicopter tour is still available for booking while on the Best of USA tour. If so how much does it cost and what does it involve. Am trying to work out if i should just have to book a tour to guarantee me getting there. Any info would be greatly appreciated![]()
