So ive been reading the Forum and i am leaning towards the Magic tour
1. Accomidation:
Magic 9 hotels
Horizon: 2 nights in Contiki’s exclusive Swiss Chalet, 1 night in Contiki’s exclusive Austrian Gasthof, 3 nights in comfortable cabins in Contiki’s own villages, 2 nights in hotels & 1 night in a hostel
How comfortable are the Chalets, Gastof anf Cabins? and do i need a sleeping bag?
2. Food: Food at hotel vs food at village/hostel……
3. Horizon is a day longer
4. Winter vs summer, id like to go in winter but i dont want to freeze my ass off… any benifts to winter over summer?
I dont know which one???

Hi all. If you please give me a little advice it would be appreciated.
After I do my contiki tour I’m statying in Europe for a little while and travelling to a few places that I would have mised and want to go to.
I have been looking around at different ways to travel. Has anyone used the Eurail passes. How did you find using the trains and ease of booking etc.
Also, how wide spread is english used in Europe. Will I have a problem explaining to people what I need.

I’m flying into London around noon in June. How long should I expect it to take to get out of the airport and to my hotel? Are there a lot of lineups involved (customs, etc.)?

I am going on London/Paris with my sister in September this year.
Can anyone tell me what the weather is like
Are boots needed? or will be it warner short and skirt weather

Hi, I’m hoping to go on the Grand Explorer either late March or late April… does anyone know what the weather would be like? Would late April be getting cold yet?
Also, what’s the accommodation like? I’m not fussy, just curious…

Need to know what kind of footware the girls were wearing in Europe in their Autumn & Winter. Thats the time I’m going and I really have no clue.

Okay. I really need someone to help me clear things up. I can only take one piece of luggage, a carry on (backpack) and my purse? Does the carry on stay on the bus when we go around places during the day? Also, What if i buy a lot and go over my weight limit for my luggage on the way back? SHoudl i deliberately underpack so i dont run into this problem….Please tell me what you did THANKS LOVES I really appreciate any input

I’ve been told that while travelling in London and using the tube you can buy passes basd on regions you would like to see. Should I get a geberal one to get from Heathrow to the Royal National and then get another pass which emcompasses more areas or should I get one that’s for more areas from the beginning. Also, what areas should I get it for if I want to see the general things (stay mostly in the central area). Is there a specific name/colour/number code for all the different types of passes you can get?

Im going to europe soon with contiki and was wondering if anyone could tell me about going out at night on the trip, do they care what time your back in your hotel at and is it pretty safe??

There was a western highlights trip on contiki that looked perfect for feb 6th-13th. But it’s all booked.
Is there any way at all to get in any other way. Like if someone cancels, or selling their spots.
Does anyone have any advice for alternatives ?

my mate and I arent doing a contiki because none go where we want to go, we fly into Paris from NY and want to go up to amsterdam then to prague, then down to rome then fly to barcelona then back to syd.
We are doing this in 3 weeks, would people suggest going by train, is that the fastst way of getting around. are there different trains, iv heard there are ones that go really fast, is that the Eurail pass?
Any help would be great

Just wondering if the black water rafting involves squeezing through really small spaces. I’m not claustrophobic as a rule but small tight spaces don’t excite me!

Hey All
Well I have already been on a Time Out – the Winter Wander tour and I loved it that much that I am going back for more, and taking my best friend along with me Though we are a bit up in the air about which tour to do. We both have 5 weeks off work though would like some extra time in London. Money isnt a huge issue for either of us as we have been saving for this for ages. We would really love to do the Contrasts as it is an ideal length and visits all of the places we would like to visit, though I would just like to know what happens at meal times? I am aware that you pay for a food find etc, though would like to know what we have to do for meals. On the winter wander we were basically at restaurants every night for meals which ment we experiences a lot of the local cuisine. What do they make for you on a concept??

Do I really need a sleeping bag?
How much money should I plan on bringing for a 20 day trip? Do I bring pounds for my day in London and then Euros for the rest? Do people normally have the chance to do laundry?

Hello!
I’m doing the Check Out London tour a few days before my main Contiki, and I had a question about the included theatre tickets. I was hoping to use the voucher for a play on the evening of my arrival – would it be prudent to call ahead and have them arrange this in advance, or would the Basement be able to accommodate my request on such short notice?
