Hello!
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced troubles trying to buy a bus ticket by creditcard on the http://www.intercitycoach.co.nz/ website?
I’ve tried with an international phone number, no phone number and a NZ phone number but I always get the same answer “payment failed”.
This is really frustrating since I can’t get a ticket beforehand…. I’ve even tried emailing them two-three days ago but no reply. :-/

My husband and I are going to European discovery. WE are, however, arriving, 2 days early before our tour starts. WE are looking for things to do as well as a place to stay… does anyone have any suggestions. We will be arriving very early on Saturday morning.. is there anywhere to store luggage?
We are really excited for our trip. Thanks for your help

When you get to the top of the mountain, what kinds of things are there to do up there? Will everything at the top of the mountain have a fee?
EX. The Ice palace… Is there a charge to get in?

How much to budget for a day (AUD) (ill be travelling for 46 days and then 5 days in mykonos). Packing. Visas. Tipping. Things to be aware of. I’m curious of those who went to London, what do you recommend?
What were your favorite things to see? Favorite pubs?
Safety tips…other tips?
I posted on the London Explorer forum but it is a bit dead, so I figured I’d post here since many people have London incorporated into their trips.
Thanks ![]()

Hey all
I am planning to go on my first contiki tour next july, and wondering what one would be more fun to do, either a camping tour or concept.
Can anyone also tell me which tours are better to go on.

Hey y’all,
I am trying to meet up with a friend of mine in Rome during my European Whirl tour, I was wondering/hoping that someone might know where the group stays the two nights in Rome? I’m guessing that it’s probably outside of the city, if it is do we get into the city pretty early? Or if it’s in the City can anyone recall where/what the hostel is called?
Also, I’ve tried looking but I can’t really seem to find a definitive answer about it; does our TM give us a guided tour in Rome or do we pay someone else for it as an optional? Does the tour include going to the Vatican/Sistine Chapel/St. Peter’s? And either way do you think my friend would be able to join the tour of the city by either paying the optional fee or just tipping the TM or something?
My last question is about optionals: I see from reading people’s reviews of trips that they have done a lot of optionals that I don’t see listed as being offerred for my trip. Are the optionals different for each trip even if we’re staying in the same city? Or maybe just that those optionals aren’t offered anymore? I am trying to plan my money as well as I can before I go which includes which optionals I’ll want to do, will there be more offered to us once we get there?
Thanks so much guys!

My sister and I booked the Spanish Spree for Aug.16, 2010 but are stopping in Paris before for 2-3 days. What should we see and what can we skip?

I just got my Contiki wallet and paperwork and my last name is spelled wrong just by the first letter being an F instead of an S is this going to be a problem?
10th May 2012
Hey peeps.
I am definitely doing the Grand Southern (April 2) followed by the Grand Northern (May 1), and am just wondering who else is going.
Also I’m tossing up whether to go on my own or do the New York Explorer in between.
The price is slightly cheaper if you just pay for the extra couple days accommodation, but the Explorer throws in the cruise out to Liberty and from what i can understand also a guide to some spots around the city..
Thoughts?

I’m doing the Greek Island Hopping tour in September with 3 of my friends and of COURSE I love to drink/dance/stay out until the sun comes up, but are there any other excursions/sights/museums/etc. besides just bars & nightlife? Obviously there are a lot of sights in Athens, but what about Mykonos, Ios or Santorini? Any insight would be great, thanks!

Hi Guys,
I’m booked in for the Ultimate European tour leaving july 15, however it is not guaranteed to depart. Does this mean it has a greater likelihood of being cancelled? And if so, does contiki help with arrangements for another tour around the same time?
Cheers

Hello. I am thinking of going on the Beaches and Reefs tour in September or October and was wondering what the weather is like then at those specific destinations (fraser island, surfers paradise, cairns, whitsundays). I definitely don’t want to be deprived of swimming and snorkeling and all the beach stuff!! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!
