Hello,I am hoping to begin my travells very soon, but I have one main problem.. I dont know eher to start! I want to go everywhere and see everything!! I was hoping to trip around USA and then maybe get some work in Eurpoe or UK.. The only other thing is that I will be travelling by myself. Please help me in getting started!

A friend and I are heading to NZ in September, and our flights dont get in till like 11pm the day before the tour starts, which means that we will miss out on the pre tour departure meeting. Is that gunna cause any problems, and also what do they talk about on these meetings?

Doing a Contiki solo isn’t the part the I’m most concerned with: It’s the full day that I’ll have to spend in a foreign city alone with my luggage! Most of the hotels have 2 pm check in times, but do they also have a place to check or stash your luggage until then?
Also, what would be best for a female tourist to do on her own before meeting the group? (If the advice you have is specific to Rome, that would be great!)

Hey guys,
I’ve been day dreaming bout doing a Contiki tour for a while now… The Aussie Explorer looks awesome, can anyone tell me about it? Is it worth it? Spending money? etc…Also I’m a bit concerned that everyone on Contiki is just about getting pissed and making out Is this the case? Cause I’m totally opposite that ! What type of people go? So many questions…thank u

I was curious to know if a lot of the Contiki travellers are travelling on their own? I’m 26 and this is my first time taking a trip out of the US and I’m a little nervous about being stranded..lol

Hey Guys,
Im planning to work in Canada through the 2010 winter season (end of this year)
and hopefully go right through to the summer.
After my Grand Southern Contiki Tour,
I was just wondering if anyone else was planning to work in canada these seasons.
Or has anyone done it before and got some tips on working over there etc

Hi,
My boyfriend and I are both South Africans going on the European Highlights tour in June. Am I right in thinking that we will need to obtain a multiple entry visa from the French embassy (or is it the Italian embassy)?

Just wondering if we actually get to go into places rather than see the outside of the building or do we have to do that on “free time” such as driving past the the Eiffel Tower do we stop and go up to the lookout or wait 10 mins whilst people run out of the bus and get a few snaps with the tower in the background??

hey there, my boy n i are going on the euro encounter on the 9th of oct and i’ve been reading up n people say that the showers are hand held!
I was just wondering are they hard to use, is it annoying? The experinces i’ve had with the horrible things havent been pretty, so…sorry if i sound like a bimbo but i was thinking of maybe taking some plastic sucker thingys¿ to maybe attach it to the wall or something. does anyone hav any suggestions? Is it in all the hotels or just some? Is it not as bad as i think? the boy tells me that i’m worrying bout nothing, but i thort i’d see what those of you who are more experianced thort??

Hi.
Less than a couple of weeks before my trip, and there’s a storm coming that may or may not hit in New Orleans just before I’m due to arrive. Just wondering if Contiki has plans for an emergency that changes the start of a tour? Would I just have to get to the next town on the itinerary and pick it up from there?

I really like the sounds of both these trips. I am having a hard time deciding which! I’ve always wanted to go to Europe in the winter but Greece is where i’d like to go the most. Also, I can’t decide if i’d prefer the comfort of a Time Out tour or the adventure of a Concept tour. Can anyone help me make up my mind? :S

I’m doing european encounter in a few days and still haven’t decided what type of backpack to bring. Can anyone help? Is there a high chance i’d be pick-pocketed if i brought a normal backpack instead of a side bag

Hello! I will be traveling with Contiki in August, and recently some friends who have been abroad said that they have not been treated the best bc they are american. Has anyone had these types of problems?

Hi there, my friend and I are going for the London & Paris plus Amsterdam tour in April 2011. I am planning to get a tattoo in Amsterdam during our stay and I was wondering if I can make the appointment any time during the day or if there are group activities scheduled at certain times during the day? Anybody know of this? Thanks in advance!!!!

I was hoping to go to Disneyland Paris and I was just wondering from anyone that’s already been, how much are the admission tickets to get in, and are things fairly expensive once in the gate?! Any advice would be great.
