Hola,
30 days to go now!!! w0000!
Anyhoo, I’m wondering whether to get an International Student Identification Card (ISIC). Basically it means that if places have student discounts if you have an ISI card then you are eligible for a discount.
Will I need one?

Hi there
I will be taking my first Contiki tour in June this year. It will also be my first time in the USA. I plan to spend abot 5 weeks in the USA and am really looking forward to it.
I am just unsure whether to use cash, traveller’s cheques or a credit card. At first I planned to simply buy dollars for my trip and use mainly cash… but I have been advices now to use a credit card.
My fear, however, it that the charges on the credit card will be high and even more nerve-wrecking… that my credit card may not be accepted and the I will be stuck with no money ![]()
I was thinking of using traveller’s cheques but I am not sure whether they will be accepted and how and where and how easily I can cash them in.
Please help

HOw far in advance should one book a tour of Egypt? I don’t want to go until Nov or December of 08. The other possible “problem” is that I will be 36 by that time. Will I still be able to go. We had a guy on my last tour who was 36. How strict is Contiki reguarding this? I think they should give some leeway to people who ahve doen their tours already. Anyone have any ideas on this??

Hi Guys, I am going on the Grand Southern on May 5 (only 30 sleeps till i leave! WOO!!) and we have a couple of extra days in LA and NY either side. I am staying at Best Western Hollywood (on Franklin Ave) and was wondering if two things…
1) From the Airport, is it cheaper to take a taxi (there are two of us) or to get a bus/shuttle thing…?
and 2) We will have to leave pretty early on the morning of the tour to get to Anaheim, again same question… is there a bus route that will run that early or is it best to brave the cost of a taxi.
And a similar question for NYC… We are staying in Midtown in NYC, is there a bus that goes to JFK Airport or would it be better to catch a taxi there?
THANKS! ![]()

Hi All…
Has anybody been to Mykonos &/or Santorini recently and stayed in any really good hotels for a reasonable $$$?
We dont want to be too far from the ‘party scene’, beaches or the local Euro boys! LoL!
It would be a great help to find out info before we depart from past experiences of Greece travellers….
Please email me with details, sites or hotel names etc….
Many thanx

Me and a buddy are thinking about doing the Vienna to Budapest trip July 5. But since it’s really only 4 days, not 6 (1st and last days are arrival/departure) it doesn’t seem worth $760. Does anyone have experience with this trip to know all that’s involved? Thanks!!

Has anyone does this tour and if so, does it include any nights in tents?

Hi there!
have noticed on the website that they say that non-expandable suitcases is a no no, but in the contki book it does not mention it. Is it ok to bring a suitcase that is within the measurements but it is expandable??

Hi all!
I’m currently contemplating doing the European Adventurer Tour in 2008, so I am currently saving my dollars, and was just curious as to whether any meals are included or is the price just land and accomodation only?
Thanks for your help!

I’m going to European Discovery and I’d like to be able to attend church service while I’m there. Not just any church though, there are several churches I want to attend that are the same here in California. Would it be a problem if I had to skip some of the tours for a couple hours just to worship or would it be out of the question. This is my first time doing a tour thing.
any advice would help
Thanks

I’m going to be in Paris on June 13, 14, and 15th. I’m planning on visiting the Louvre sometime during my stay and was wondering what the lineups are normally like. Is it better to buy tickets ahead of time online, or is it really not that bad to buy them at the door?
