Hello All,
I am looking to do the European discovery tour(winter) for 12 days and I wondered roughly how much money you guys would advise on taking to make sure I have enough for any extra excursions etc? x

I am leaving this afternoon with my friends for the European Discovery. Two of us were wondering if the day bag is supposed to be your purse or can you have a day bag and a purse? For my day bag, I’m planning on bringing a backpack with things to do on the bus and then a purse to take with me while I’m in each city. Finally, can we leave a bag on the bus while we are in each city? Thanks in advance for all your help!

Hiya
I’m doing the Grand Southern from NY to LA in June and thinking of staying an extra night in LA. Has anyone else stayed an extra night in LA?? Is it worth it and what is the cost? I am thinking of maybe doing a day trip … just to really see LA before I head back home. I’m not sure whether it is really worth staying an extra day!!! Does the Grand Southern cover enough of LA?
I would appreciate ANY advice.

hey everyone!
I went on the winter wanderer throughout January and February and had the time of my life!
I traveled by myself and stayed in London for a week before my trip.
I used these contiki forums so much before i left, and found them so helpful.
So if anyone has any questions, i will be happy to try and impart my new found wisdom!

Hi Guys, Im Currently in France but from Australia. I am planning to head on a short Contiki tour by myself in september and cant decide which one would be better.
I am deciding between the Croatian Island tour which is 8 days or the Aegean Classic Louis Hellenic cruise which is the greek island one and its 6 days long.
Has anyone done either of them to give me advise on the boats, tour itself etc. If so it would be really appreciated.

Going on the European Discovery tour during Aug 08. I know its going to be hot hot hot but its the only time that I could plan it.
Anyway there are a few questions I have:
1. Do I need swimsuit
2. I heard many things will be closed because that is when the people from Europe take their vacation. Will I still get to see maine attractions such as vatican city etc…
3. Is there any other suggesstions you could make?

I haven’t booked anything yet but my friend and I are still in the process of deciding on our trip for ******mas vacation. Currently am leaning towards the Grand Adventure for Dec 25th to Jan 1st. Anyone else going or have any advice with regards to that?
Our other options would be Cairns Sunshine Trail (Australia) or else just doing our own thing to Cuba or Hawaii.
Any info/advice would be awesome!

Hey All,
There has been much talk over the last couple of weeks about which shoes to bring on a trip. Now I am very much a sandal person and often wear plain Old Navy flipflops. I have noticed that many people have mentioned Haviana sandals as their choice to bring with them, but my question is what is so great about these sandals compared to Old Navy ones?
Please enlighten me!

Okay so personally, I don’t think I can live without Vegemite for 2 months lol
Does anyone know if we’re allowed to take it over there???
Also like chocolate and stuff…I’ve heard that chocolate in America tastes like crap, so keen on taking some Cadbury with me

Hi Guys!
The Ultimate European tour offers a Mykonos or Egypt option. I’ve booked myself in for the Egypt option but am now having second throughts. Has anyone out there been to both or either, that may be able to offer some pros and cons about each location. My tour starts in July.

hey just wanted to know wether girls wear makeup on tour or just wear it when they go out, wasn’t sure weather to bring it or not or just wear a tinted moisturiser during the day.

Just two quick questions:
1) When is the best time of year to go on the Southern Adventure? I am thinking of going Nov-Dec.
and
2) Are Heritage Visa debt cards accepted in the US?
