Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if the European Encounter goes to see any castles in France or Germany? Maybe in transit? (I applogize if I have posted this in the wrong forum!)

For example, the Grand Southern tour now starts from only $2580 (instead of $3139). Have to be fast, sale ends October 22 (not sure if it’s only valid for certain dates though), but if you’re ready to book then it might be worthwhile to go through them (unfortunately it’s still a bit too early for me..

sorry just thought i would put my excitement in here rather than keep annoying my family with it!!
Now i can finally plan when to go! and there is a Guaranteed Departure which suits me perfectly for the Simply Italy Tour (changed to that one instead of Italian Espresso and Mykonos!!)

with the early start for the first day you leave is there a hostel or something like on the same road that contiki leaves.

Hey- Did anyone go on this trip andnot get any shots prior to? I am 30 yr old female & I cant remember the last time I had a vaccination. I dont have medical insurance right now so I dont really have many options…

Hey I wear contacts and glasses. I know airline safety does not allow liquids anymore. Do you suggest skipping bringing the contacts/solution altogether and just wear glasses or is there decent solution I can buy in Thailand?
I’m going on the Asian Adventure tour in January. (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia)

Hi,
My friend and I have booked into the HI Santa Monica hostel for July 2009 before our WW tour. I could only get a 10 bed dorm- having not hostelled before- Is a larger dorm better or worse? Safer? Or not?
Any advice on dorm sizes and what to expect from larger ones would be great

Hi,
I’m booking the Canada and the Rockies tour on 2nd July next year – It’s my first overseas trip and i’ll be going by myself…
I have allocated 4 days after the trip in Vancouver to explore – However, anyone who has been on the tour, how much of vancouver does contiki cover on the tour?? Is 4 days enough/too much time to spend there afterwards??
Also, how much is admission to the Calgary stampede? How much would one expect to spend whilst there?

Hi everyone!
I am from NZ and just wanting to know if there is anyone else travelling to USA on the Grand Southern tour starting Sept 8 2011? I am also on the LA explorer 4 Sept-7 Sept and NY explorer 4 Oct-7 Oct. Also, would be keen for any advice, I’ve never been to the USA before!!!

Hey all
I have just a question my friend and I are going to America in december for a contiki tour thru the states my question is we want to spend NYE in either LA or New York and then a couple of days later start athe tour. We havn’t been able to find info on this and i’m trying to get info on december08 / january 09 tours. i’ve been on contiki before but not over this period if anyone could give advice or point me in the right direction would be much appreciated

hi, i will be needing to get to heathrow from russell square on a sunday to be there bye 10, which form of transport would people suggest? ive heard to just get on the piccadilly line? im going from healthrow to edinbough on a domestic british medlands flight leaving at 1130am

Was thinking about going on the European Magic contiki or the Meditteranean Highlights contiki as our fisrt ones. Id love to hear from any body who has been on either of those. Are they good ones for couples to go on????

Well im in the 1st stages of planing my 1st contiki tour!
Im thinking of the European Encounter trip for around the same time next year! Im thinking of going solo.
Any tips or anyone in the same stage that would like to mabye join?

I just thought that because I don’t want to lug my sleeping bag for the rest of my travels after my tour (one of my flights afterwards only allows 15kgs of luggage 
), if someone wants to take it off my hands (I will have only used it for the tour so it will be almost brand new!!) they’d be doing me a favour.
My tour ends on 17th May and I fly to Ireland early the next day so if you’re at the RN on night of 17th and need a sleeping bag let me know and we can try to arrange to meet up!

Experienced Contikkians, what is your opinion on learning the langauage of one/some of the countries before you go?Do you think it makes a difference?Or doesn’t it really matter?
I’ve signed-up to learn basic French before I go, and I’m wondering if its worth it or not…

Contiki canada gave me a London subway ticket on 25,Dec. But it seems that there is no underground service on that day. So any suggestions about my question? thanks
