Hey
Was thinking about going on the European Magic contiki or the Meditteranean Highlights contiki as our fisrt ones. Id love to hear from any body who has been on either of those. Are they good ones for couples to go on????

Hi guys,
Well im in the 1st stages of planing my 1st contiki tour!
Im thinking of the European Encounter trip for around the same time next year! Im thinking of going solo.
Any tips or anyone in the same stage that would like to mabye join?

I just thought that because I don’t want to lug my sleeping bag for the rest of my travels after my tour (one of my flights afterwards only allows 15kgs of luggage 
), if someone wants to take it off my hands (I will have only used it for the tour so it will be almost brand new!!) they’d be doing me a favour.
My tour ends on 17th May and I fly to Ireland early the next day so if you’re at the RN on night of 17th and need a sleeping bag let me know and we can try to arrange to meet up!

Contiki canada gave me a London subway ticket on 25,Dec. But it seems that there is no underground service on that day. So any suggestions about my question? thanks

Experienced Contikkians, what is your opinion on learning the langauage of one/some of the countries before you go?Do you think it makes a difference?Or doesn’t it really matter?
I’ve signed-up to learn basic French before I go, and I’m wondering if its worth it or not…

I was under the assumption that I could charge my camera with only the us adaptor and it would still charge? (Although it would take longer without the voltage convertor) Do I need the voltage convertor or not??? I’m from australia if this helps, going to the usa…

Hi everybody
I am extremely confused and starting to freak out a little. After doing ‘egypt and the nile’ i am going to do the tour of Southern Ireland. I am on the following flights:
- Cairo to Madrid
- Madrid to London
- London to Dublin
all in the same day
The flight into London arrives at Terminal 2, the flight out of london departs from terminal 1.
Do i have to collect my baggage at Heathrow? Will i be in transit? I am extremely worried. I am worried that with so many flights, my luggage won’t be at Dublin when I’m there. I’d prefer to collect it myself.. Am i able to do this?

I am doing the European Escapade and then spending some extra time in London. All together about 30 days. Just wondering if someone could tell me how many pairs of underwear I should be bringing? I know we will have access to laundry, but…..

Hi, I’m planning to go to USA in July, just need you advise what to choose: Best western, LA to the Bay, CA highlights or what? I want to see Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Netional parks – defenitly and may be San Francisco and LA. So for me nature is a must to see in this trip. I have about 10-15 days for this trip, plus I want to take Hawaii stopover (for 3 or 5 days) – don’t know take it or not, 3 or 5. Please, help me with my choice for these trips, some pluses and minuses. I’m from Russia and this would be my first visit to the USA.

A few of us are planning a trip to Europe next winter..yes yes still over a year away but we are excited! I have noticed by looking at the Canadian and Australian websites that not all tour dates are offered to every country. We are looking at the European Discovery..this year according to the Canadian site it depart Dec 16,18…etc..yet on the Australian website it only departs on the 12, 17 etc..anyone know why there are different tour dates?
Also anyone know when the Europe Summer 2012 brochure comes out in Canada?

hi i just wanted to know if it would be best to travelle in the winter or summer months. which would be more enjoyable? does the winter slow things down more. and is the summer too hot. does it really make any difference? maneika

Hey was just wondering if anyone knows what sort of weather/temperatures I’d be looking at in Oct/Nov in New York and California. The start of Oct to mid Oct will be in New York and the end of Oct to early Nov will be in California … help please lol. I don’t know what to pack!!!

Just wondering if any one out there is considering taking this tour next summer. I am most likey going to take this tour then travel solo to vist frineds in Germany and Spain after the tour. In addition to those of you interested in going I would like to hear from those of you who have already been on this tour. What were the highlights for you? what dinners and optional tours, etc. did you prefer over others. What would you do differently if you were to do the trip again. Anything would be helpful.Thanks, peace.

Hi all-
My husband and I are booked on this tour. Wondering if anyone has done it before or is going to also be on it. We are on the older end of the spectrum 28 and 30, but I have done Contiki tours before. Should be fun!
Would love any tips in general and especially on excersions- what are good, bad etc. I know too well these are the hidden costs that can sometimes be worth it—-sometimes not. Considering you usually have to sign up for the extra stuff the first day—we would like to be ready.
Counting down the weeks already!!

i know the booklet i got says 18-35, but that seems like quite the range, I’m just wondering if its any trouble for a couple of 18 year olds from Canada to find work there after my contiki trip? any help would be great, email me at mick14731@hotmail.com
