Accommodation

Stay in Contiki’s own Tyrolean chalet:
Gasthof Schöneck

With Ski Austria you'll be staying at Gasthof Schöneck, Contiki's very own exclusive and authentic chalet complete with our friendly experienced Contiki On-site team.

Our prices are based on quad-share rooms, most fitted with individual showers and handbasins in the room. Twin & single-share options are available at an additional cost, again most with individual showers and handbasins in the room.

Each floor of the Gasthof has extra showers and washrooms. If you’re travelling alone and don't want pay for a single supplement, we’ll arrange for you to share a room with other travellers of the same sex for no extra cost.

Facilities

Gasthof Schöneck is fully equipped with a dining room, lounge with internet terminals, beanbags, plasma TV & DVD player. There is also FREE WiFi, a pay phone & laundry facilities (washers & driers) available for a small charge. Last but not least, there's Bar Schöneck (open till late most nights) with a pumping sound system and dance floor - home to Contiki's legendary themed party nights!

Meals

There are two meal options available to both Ski Plus and Ski Only passengers - Bed & Breakfast, or Half Board. Both options include a daily, extensive cold and hot continental breakfast buffet to keep you going up the slopes. Think tasty celerals, yoghurt and fruit salad, as well as hearty bacon & eggs, pancakes and sausages - plus plenty of water, fruit juice, tea & coffee to keep you hydrated.

Dinner, for those who opt to book on a half board basis, is served at approx. 6:30pm, giving plenty of time to recover from the day's skiing and perhaps a few drinks in our cosy house bar. Our On-site team has dedicated resident cooks, well-trained in the delicacies of typical Austrian menus such as Wiener schnitzel and gulaschsuppe (goulash soup), as well as other popular dishes. Evening meals are three-course: soup or starter, a main course and dessert.

Dinner is provided at the Gasthof for 5 nights or 10 nights (depending on the length of package) when the half board supplement is paid. You've then got 2 or 4 nights free to try some more Tyrolean specialties at the local restaurants in town. If you don't take the half board option, you'll need to find your own dinner each evening at one of Hopfgarten's many restaurants.

Lunch is not included in the price any of our Ski Austria tours. Why? We don't want to bring you down off the slopes while you're learning to ski - or popping your first indy nosebone - for lunch. We leave that choice up to you! The mountains in the SkiWelt area are dotted with restaurants and refreshment stations (70 in total) providing hot food, cold and hot drinks and bathroom facilities to keep you fuelled without interrupting your time on the pistes.
