UK Visa before Schengen Visa?
I'm studying abroad in the UK in January but haven't gotten my CAS number to get my UK visa yet. In the meantime, I was wondering if it would be ok to get a Schengen Visa without getting my UK visa yet and just saying I will be arriving from the US. I also don't really know which countries I will be going to yet so if I put in a timeline of January 1 to January 7, would my visa only be valid for 7 days or do I have to put in Jan 1 to like April 1? I will most likely be applying to the French Consul in Chicago
