Oh, haha! That really sucks! At least you got the money back. Hopefully this one goes a lot better :) I'm really excited. This'll be my first time travelling alone, I thought it would be good to go somewhere before I start university in the fall. It's cool to be able to sort of meet others on the tour this way before we leave.

Hey :) haha well i actually haven't. Last year my sister and i were booked to do the road to Athens tour. We are both English but live in Australia now so we went like 4 days earlier and stayed with our family before the tour started. The day before the tour started we went into london and checked in at the contiki basement and the royal national hotel. Later that afternoon we both got quite sick (Just our luck!). Contiki told us to go to this walk in clinic to get checked out, so we did the night before our tour. We pretty much had caught a stomach bug/gastro thing. Both contiki and the clinic advised us not to go on tour so we didn't infect others. So the morning of the tour we went back to our family and claimed the tour on our travel insurance. In about a week they had sorted new flights home and to re-inburst us for the contiki tour. So technically didn't travel but shows i have. haha sorry for the long story! Can't really tell you about my experience, but some friends have been on a few and loved it! :)
