Hey!! Just checked in for my first trip! Count down to March begins!

You skipped out on a trip to Baltimore?!? Thats crazy talk! lol. Wow, your job sounds very challenging yet incredibly rewarding, thats great! But I can imagine this vacation is going to be much needed! Haha yea, I started reminiscing about my Contiki last year. Cant believe its been a whole year already but hoping this one is just as memorable. We actually didnt go to Corfu though. It was just a quick couple of days on the Greek mainland before we started cruising to Turkey and some of the other major islands on that side of the country. On Greece we only went to Athens, Olympia and Delphi with a few stops along the way. I loved it though and know theres much more to see around there. Thats the good and the bad about Contiki. You only get a little taste of each place you go to see if its somewhere you want to come back to. Obviously some spend a little more time in the same place than others (4 days on Corfu is amazing!) but most of the time its a quick stop and keep on moving....

1030?? ooh in that case, whatever mode of transportation you find, I think you should have them swing by the Cruz del Sur bus station and pick me up on the way! lol. But no, if you are getting in that late as well, you'll have to keep a look out for me as I might be getting there around the same time. If you are super pumped and not ready to crash, I'm sure there is something we could find to do. A teacher? thats awesome...so summer break now huh?? What grade? Hmm...Baltimore is pretty amazing not gonne lie, if you get to go there, then I think I want your job! ;)

Yea, its under rates and reservations as one of the bullet points at the bottom that rates include airport transfer and buffet breakfast. Not sure how you actually take advantage of that though and we are paying a reduced Contiki rate so it might not even be applicable. Lol, I dunno if you want my job, its not as great as it sounds. I am an in house attorney for an energy company. Mostly have to go up to NYC for negotiations with banks, etc. but we were building a solar project in Spain so instead of NYC it was Madrid. Definitely can be exciting to get out of the office but usually entails seeing more of the inside of a conference room than the city I get to travel to. I am sure theres better options for you!

Hotel girasoles? Yup thats the contiki hotel and that's where I'll be staying as well. My bus from south probably won't get back to the Lima station until about 1130 I think then I've gotta hope I can safely catch a cab and not get kidnapped or something! I heard there are some sketchy areas of Lima and the taxi system is a little iffy as well so that's the only part I'm worried about. I don't know what bus system you are talking about but I thought I saw on the hotel website that they have airport transfer so you should look into that. We should def find something to do Saturday. Not going to lie, I'll prob sleep in quite a bit that morning after my crazy first two days but I'll start looking into things to do in Lima, you do the same! I took french in high school and a semester of Italian in college so I'm not much better! Lol but I did spend a lot of time in madrid for work last year so i picked up a little...mostly in a restaurant setting, but should still be interesting! That's why there's an app for that :)

Hey Jennifer! Glad to hear from someone else doing the uncovered. Everyone else in the meet up will be ending their tour before us or meeting us half way through. Wish I had known earlier though....i'm going down overnight wed getting in first thing thurs morning and going straight down to do the flight over the nazca lines, ride the dune buggy in the sand dunes, go to the isle of ballastas and visit some wineries before getting back to lima Friday night. Would have loved to organize that with some others. What time do you get to Lima Friday? I know, its so strange the times for flights down. I am lucky to be able to fly out of Miami so there are four direct flights a day, but its either get in super late at night or super early in the morning. where in Jersey are you coming from? Hmm second Contiki in a few months? Tough life you have! Lol its been just about a year to date that I did my first to Greece and turkey so long over due, I can't wait! Which Europe trip did you do?
