Hey Gini, just saw your question about currency. I've been struggling with this as well. How much to bring, what to bring...etc etc. I've been told just to use the ATM's in Prague and Budapest. Or to just exchange your Euro or American/Candian dollars for local currency. You will get a much better rate than buying it before you go (even with the ATM fees). As of right now I'm bringing some Euros and my debit and credit cards.

Sorry about all the posts lol...my computer is being stupid! This is my first Contiki too, so I'm glad I'm not the only one that's a little nervous. I've been to Berlin once before, but I was with Germans that knew their way. Do you know where you're staying the first night? I've heard that people usually meet up the night before the trip officially starts...

I see what you mean. I just booked with Travelocity and it was a few hundred dollars cheaper. Like you said, I think most people are arriving in Berlin the morning of the 4th.

No, I actually booked it through Air France's website. It was like $200 cheaper than Contiki was offering. I just wanted to have specific times for my flight.

I'm not arriving in Berlin until August 4. I've not heard of people meeting the day/night before. I don't think I saw anyone on the forum that is meeting the day before...

I have never done a Contiki before! I've done some traveling but never alone. I have to admit I'm a little nervous about navigating the subways in Berlin by myself. I arrive in Berlin at 8:35 on August 4
