My tour was 2wks long to iI took a case. I surpose you can take a backpack if you want. i did see a few people with one in my group. Do you have any idea when you want to go yet?

Hi Sophie, The trip was AMAZING! I had an absolute blast from beginning to end. Cairns, The Whitsundays, Fraser Island, Surfers Paradise, Sydney. All were awesome. If you've never been to aus, you should, Its awesome :) :D
