I'm thinking of breaking free from the tour while we're in Germany and going to check out the Neuschwanstein Castle and then meet back up with the group in Munich. Anybody else interested in that?

That looks interesting! But I'm also going to break away from the group in Munich to go rent a BMW and go for a drive on the autobahn :p

Well actually, this place is generally where I was planning to drive anyways, me and Tyler could swing by there? Or you could come with us if you aren't scared of driving fast with me. Could save you transportation costs?

Well if you don't kill me, I would be ok! lol This isn't out of your way? I'm not exactly sure how to get there..lol But I would be happy to save on train tickets!

Haha I won't kill you, I don't drive like everybody else in e-town. But I do plan on going over 200, but I'm a safe driver. I was planning originally just driving from Munich west to memmingen then back, but this would be good to actually have a purpose instead of driving around for no reason.

oh ok..so once we get to Munich, you were going to rent a car?

but yeah, i would be up for that! do you know how much it would cost?

Yeah there's a place called BMW world in Munich where you can rent BMW by the hour( like €35/hour or something) but I wouldn't ask you to chip in. We just have to find our way from wherever the bus stops, to bmw world. And then from there back to the hotel afterwards.

I haven't booked one yet because it's by the hour and I don't know exactly what time we will get there. But from looking around online, they almost always have cars available at any time as long as you aren't picky.

Shannel...my original plan was to catch a train from wherever we end up in Rhine Valley to the castle, check it out for the day and then get a train ride back to Munich to meet up with the rest of the group.

Awesome Jennifer! We should chat more about it when we get there. Since I've never done any travelling in Europe before and I don't know much about Germany, I think it would be best to get some tips from our tour guide

The distance from Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle is around 100-150 km (depending on the road you choose).

Yeah sure we can chat about it later. If you decide to come that cool, if not, we might take the car down there anyways. Your choice

woo! awesome Brett! Thanks! The only thing that I just don't know about is how long it will take to get from wherever we are in Rhine Valley to Munich. Like, will there be enough time to get there with the group and then go out exploring?

Ya I'm not sure either. It's about a 5 hour drive. (St. Goar to Munich) So if we leave at 6-7 we should be in Munich around 11-12. Just have to confirm wth the driver a couple days before I reckon
