Get the adaptor in your home country BEFORE you leave. It is almost impossible to find your plug in Europe if you forget. The plugs there are for Europeans travelling to USA, UK, Aussie etc.

Smart clothing is a must for your suitcase or you’ll stand out when everyone else looks hot and you do not. It is culturally insensitive and against the law in some parts of Europe to walk around with a shirt on. Many flights from Australasia and America land in London between 0600 and 0900. You cannot check into the hotels until 1400 generally so a hop-on hop-off bus tour is a great way to kill some time while you wait for your room and good for your body clock to adjust to UK time
