The perfect tour for those wanting to savour the best parts of Western Europe at a less than hectic pace. Travel days interspersed with free days in cities as well as a 3 day mini-break on a Greek island, this is definitely the best of both worlds when it comes to culture versus relaxation.

Fellow travellers for Scandinavia 3rd Aug 2013?

Starting in Berlin, and looking for fellow travellers to meet up with the night before departure? Plan to stay at the hotel we are meant to start from for convenience :-) Clancy

What do you think about booking the Viator tour for that day? As they look like they will have a table in a tent already. Might be the best way to get the experience.

I think that sounds like a possibility, I suppose we would just have to find a tent on the day someone will have room for a few people.

We were thinking of just winging it now. Have spoken to some friends, all of whom didn't have bookings before hand and were fine getting seats in the tents or in the beer garden. The tour looks very long and I guess I wanted to go see other parts of Munich as well as Oktoberfest? Still going all out in a dirndl!

Qns: Attending Oktoberfest whilst on a tour?

This is a general question... If your 'big' tour is advertised as being in Munich for Oktoberfest (and not a tour specifically for Oktoberfest), does this mean your TM automatically plans to take you there, or help you get your way there if you ask, or even book a table for the group to attend? Otherwise do we have to organise our own way there, or pre-book a table ourselves? It's my understanding tables disappear quickly in the morning unless already pre-booked? I would love to know what others have done in the past who have been in Munich during Oktoberfest whilst on a tour. I will be going on the European Contrasts tour later this year and I just don't want to miss out donning a dirndl and making the most of Oktoberfest!! Thanks!
