27 Jul 2011 - 13 Aug 2011 \ This was my third Contiki tour and it was an absolute blast! It was a great mix of fun people of various ages and nationalities and we all got on really well. Great Britain and Ireland are such beautiful and fun places to visit and there is nothing like taking over a British or Irish pub with your crew of "Contiki Friends" (and holding the band hostage until they play 'Galway Girl' for us). There were so many great things to see and do. Highlights: - Edinburgh (great city but I wish we had more time there) - Belfast (such interesting history) - Giant's Causeway (a natural wonder) - wandering the Scottish countryside harassing the multi-colour sheep (you'll understand when you see them) - pubs - more pubs The staff were awesome: Tour manager: Dave ("Naked") Driver: Dave ("Smiley") One big tip for those thinking of doing this tour: there is almost no time spent in London (which is a wicked cool city) so book extra there before or after your tour to check it out. I booked 3 extra days in London but I still only touched on all the things I wanted to experience. Another tip: take vitamins, eat and drink regularl,y and sleep whenever you can....Contiki colds and flus are extremely common and spread like wildfire through the group.
