21 Mar 2012 - 28 Mar 2012 \ Thanks to Barnaby, and every single one of my Contiki friends, this tour was amazing!!!!! Barnaby went above and beyond, and I know I made life-long friends!!!! Oh, and the scenery and activities were thrilling, amazing, fantastic!!!! Best tour ever!!! THANK YOU BARNABY!!!!! =) I'd do this Contiki again and again!!!!!

05 Jan 2012 - 24 Jan 2012 \ My fourth Contiki so far and I feel the tour was misrepresented- our group was completely full, and while I was prepared to stay in a hostel and the surf village, I wasn't prepared to be sleeping on broken cots in "fancy" hotels with giant cockroaches running around everywhere- for two solid weeks. If we weren't in rooms with a single bed, a double bed, a broken fold-out couch and a broken cot that was smelly, we were in rickety bunk beds and felt like they would break. I will note here that we informed the front desk of each hotel of the issues, and none of them were resolved- in fact, when we asked for a new cot, they brough us new towels. And when we told them about the bugs, they said that's just how things are. We did get to see some awesome sights, and while the optionals were expensive, they were also really fun. If you want to see the East coast of Oz, this tour is an option, but for the money I'd suggest renting a van and heading out with some friends, or even on your own. Every town we went to had a hostel, in fact, we went to the hostels even if we weren't staying in them. That way, you can choose to stay in the cool places (Byron Bay) and skip the boring ones.
