They are members of Christ United Methodist Church and he is a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. When he is not working on horses, he can be found coaching his and other children in soccer, baseball, and basketball in the College Station city leagues.
