Is this Nomadic Community Garden London’s best kept secret?

If you're anything like me, the thought of discovering a hidden, under the radar and utterly cool green space in the heart of London will have you palpitating with anticipation.

Yet that’s exactly what I stumbled upon around a month ago, smack bang in the midst of trendy Shoreditch – the Nomadic Community Gardens. Part urban garden, part art exhibition, part event space, part home to fledgling businesses, this little oasis of calm isn’t just a pretty face; it’s also a project that puts local community centre stage. Developed over two years ago from a derelict and overgrown patch of nothing, the garden is completely self funded and managed by volunteers, offering local residents a place to grow their own produce whilst learning new skills and perhaps most importantly, fostering a real sense of ownership and togetherness.

Secret space + tasty organic cafe + impressive murals and art work + a friggin opera house + a whole heap more = yeah, you need to visit. Take a peak at how cool it looks:
