Just 7 casual ways Banff proves it may be the best place on earth for nature porn

Banff in Alberta Canada, may not be home to the resident hottie, Justin Trudeau, but what it has to offer in sweeping vistas and snow-capped mountain peaks is enough to make you fill up your camera roll faster than you can say poutine, please.

The impossible blue of Lake Louise

Towering mountains surround this glacier fed spectacle of nature, which is home to one of the biggest ski resorts in Canada and some of the most pure turquoise waters you’ll ever see. The biggest treat comes in winter when the lake is frozen solid, meaning you can ice-skate all day on it’s surface.

The perils of the Johnston Canyon Icewalk

The hike through the national park is a must-do for anyone visiting Banff. Following the Bow River, you’ll get an awe-inspiring look at the Rocky Mountains from the bottom of the canyon through the towering trees. But don’t just look up, there are countless frozen waterfalls and giant icicles to take in, too.

Can you still go chasing waterfalls even if they're frozen?

The snowy tops of the Canadian Rockies

Every mountain in the Rockies is breathtaking, and guaranteed there won’t be a single time you’re not blown away by the sheer magnitude of these treacherous (but Insta-worthy) ranges.

The slopes of Sunshine Village

The powder rush is real in Banff. While cruising down the slopes on your weapon of choice you’ll get a new look at the snowy landscape, feel its power and experience it up close and personal. BYO GoPro!

Sunrises from the top of Sulphur Mountain

Taking the gondola up the mountain is a special moment in itself, but the cold beauty of the morning and the way the red and pink sunrays light the crest of Sulphur Mountain, is bucket list worthy.

#Banff looks best with a perfect sunrise! Great shot by @ausmiller | #mybanff

Sunsets over Mount Rundle from the outdoor hot springs

Capturing every mountain in Banff is hard, but Mount Rundle will be the easiest thanks to the hot springs built across the way giving, you the perfect spot at twilight to share a beer while watching the darkness slip over the rocky ridges.
