Australia voted yes

Following a long running campaign for marriage equality in Australia, more than 12.7 million people across the country voted yes to legalise gay marriage in a landslide victory, followed by celebrations as only Australian’s can. It’s the beginning of a new era for Oz, and we’re 100% behind it. Love wins again!

The Qween had twins

This year the Beyhive qween of everything – Beyonce – multiplied her world dominating family by two, giving birth to her adorable twins Sir and Rumi. In true Beyonce style, it was the iconic pregnancy announcement pic which broke the internet, claimed the title of most liked Insta pic ever, and then inspired fancy dress and Halloween costumes forever after.

Animal lovers, unite! Arguably the most cuddly looking creatures on the planet are here to stay for a while longer. As a species at risk of extinction, huge efforts from local conservationists have meant that Pandas are no longer on the brink of extinction. It’s welcome news for the worlds threatened wildlife, and it most definitely proves that communities coming together in a commitment to preserving the worlds biodiversity can make a huge difference.
