A warm welcome from your Contiki Crew as we head for the White Cliffs of Dover and the Channel crossing to France. We travel through Belgium and into the Netherlands. After dinner a chance to explore this unique city and it's amazing nightlife.
Today, an included visit to the Keukenhof Gardens where Dutch bulb producers compete for display space - of the 10,000 bulb growers in Holland only 100 are selected to donate bulbs for the displays. The Keukenhof Gardens are the main attraction in springtime and are the largest bulb gardens in the country with over 6 million tulips and other bulb flowers in bloom. This afternoon, free time to explore the streets of Amsterdam before an opportunity to visit the picturesque fishing village of Volendam and enjoy some traditional Dutch cuisine.
A short drive this morning takes us into the Dutch countryside to visit a cheese and clog making farm and enjoy a bicycle ride through the cobble-stoned streets of Edam with a stop at a windmill. This afternoon, spend your free time wandering along the canals, souvenir shopping or visiting famous museums such as the Van Gogh Museum or Anne Frank's House.
Time to say goodbye as we travel through the Belgian countryside and back to Calais for our ferry crossing to England. We arrive back in London at the Royal National Hotel at approximately 7:00pm.
