Cash vs. Card

30 Apr 2008 Explorer1095870 said

Im sure this topic had been brought up many times, but I was still a little confused...

I was wondering what were people experiences with cash versus using a card (like Travelex). I was going to get a Travelex card, becuase I didnt want to carry too much cash on me. But can I use it like a VISA card when I go into shops? Or do I have to take out money when I see an ATM? Do many stores accept cards or do they only accept cash? What about bars, are they cash only too?

Sorry for all the questions...Im a virgin when it comes to going to Europe

Thanks!
