Transfer in Barcelona - Safe??

Hi,<BR><BR>i will be doing two tours in europe. YAY. hahaha<BR><BR>I will be flying to barcelona during the morning. then i will be getting a cab with my luggage and what not on my own.<BR><BR>I am male 24. But last night my sister was telling me barcelona is notorious for theft.<BR>and kind of freaking me out. lol<BR><BR>Would i be ok getting a taxi to my hotel in spain. Like am i stressing to much??<BR><BR>any reassurances would be appreciated. <img src="" alt="Smiler" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::)-->)<BR><BR>Chris.

    Barcelona is definitely famous for theft and scams. Check out street scams in Barcelona.

    I think by taking a taxi, you are avoiding most scams except the overcharging taxi driver or the driver that takes the expensive, scenic route.

    so i guess its off the plane and straight to the taxi.

    I dont wnat to muck around in barcelona.
    i dont have good street smarts in sydney, i would hate to think how iwould be in barcelona.
