Camping Tours

Camping Tours Camping Tours are the best way to live it up in Europe on a budget so you can save your money for the important stuff…like souvenirs! But just because you save on cost, doesn’t mean you miss out on anything else. You still get all the sightseeing, free time and optional activities of our other tours. Plus, the Contiki-style of camping is not your typical “night out in the wilderness” style of camping. You won’t have to chop wood for a campfire, hunt for your supper, or bathe in a nearby stream.

You’ll travel in style on the same modern coaches used for our other tours. We load it up with all the tents, cooking equipment and food necessary for the trip. While onboard, you sit back and enjoy wide, luxury seats, air conditioning, panoramic windows, and a bumpin’ stereo system – so don’t forget to bring along your favorite tunes.

Contiki Tents Sleep under the starts in brand new, spacious twin-share tents. Custom-built for your comfort and ease, they’re a real pushover to sort out, set up, and pack up (yes, you participate in setting up camp and with the preparation of meals, but this is all part of the fun and you’ll learn the ropes in no time!). You will need to bring your own sleeping bag, but we’ll hook you up with a comfy air mattress to sleep on.

And you’ll be staying in well-equipped campsites. On-site facilities include showers, washing facilities (almost always hot water), shops and bars. (In a few campsites you will be required to purchase tokens on-site for showers.) Most campsites also boast a few of those little extras: restaurants, swimming pools and washing machines!

Wanna roast sausages round the camp-fire? You can. But personally, we think you’ll prefer the culinary delights prepared by your Mobile Cook (with your occasional help) in a fully decked out coach kitchen. Your Food Fund covers hot breakfasts most mornings and 2-course dinners some of the nights (check individual itineraries for full meal information). Lunch is not included so you have a chance to get in touch with the locals and try the local fare. And when dinner’s not included, grab some friends and hit the streets for an evening of sight seeing, enjoying an optional excursion meal, or going out for a local meal.
