DAY 1 - Sydney
Sydney

Welcome to the best month of your life (OK, just under). After meeting up with your brand new travel family, we’ll be hitting the road, country bound, for a day trip to one of Australia’s finest – the majestic Blue Mountains (which aren’t actually blue, but are still damn beautiful). Out here in the great Aussie outdoors we’ll be learning the legend behind the famous Three Sisters rocks formation and exploring the Jamison Ridge area, basically living out all our rustic dreams.

Back in Sydney later, we'll eat ourselves silly with a hands-on cook your own BBQ dinner, contemplating how it's possible to do so much in just one day. Waterfalls and mini-hikes by day, sunset drinks and a BBQ by night – that’s just how we roll on day-1 of Contiki.

NO REGRETS INCLUSIONS

We'll head back to Sydney and the evening is yours to make the most of. Why not visit some of the trendy rooftop bars and restaurants that make this city so vibrant? It'd be rude not to!

Then, maybe opt for a cheeky tanning session at one of the many golden beaches. When you're done wiggling your toes in the sand, it's time to satisfy your hunger at one of the many delicious cafes and restaurants. DAY 6 - Surfers Paradise including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Surfers Paradise
This morning is all about chilling, hitting the beach, and getting a little R'n'R after the night before. We're nice like that. But remember, you're not in Surfer's forever, so do this thing right - don't stay in bed when there's a parachute with your name on it at the nearby skydiving centre. How's that for a rush of adrenaline? In the afternoon just make sure you're back (on earth) in time for some serious koala cuddling sessions at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
NO REGRETS INCLUSIONS

Here's your chance to see how cute koalas really are, feed a kangaroo & see a crocodile up close (but not too close, obvs). Best of all, it's a non-for-profit set up, so our visit supports the sanctuary's animal hospital and gives back to Oz's furry friends. Soak up on all the cuteness this place has to offer before we head back to Surfer's for a relaxing night by the resort pool or choose to  live it up in one of the many nightclubs this city has to offer.

Worth every penny. Couldn't have planned the same trip with the same budget on my own. Contiki takes a lot of the stress off a huge trip like this.

Foi uma experiencia fantastica, principalmente a parte do Outback Australiano. É diferente de tudo que estamos acostumados e é incrível se desconectar um pouco do mundo nesse lugar diferente e único.

Contiki was a great trip because they squeezed in so much with the amount of time the trip was, but not feeling so rushed. There are a lot of things that are not included so make sure you check that out before you pay. The tour guides are super enthusiastic with lots of information and advice for further travel also. Accommodation was a mixture of everything such as hotels, hostels, camping. I feel the group sizes are too big though - maximum 20/25 would be perfect. A group of 50 meant that either not everybody got the same experience and it was very touristy moving around as a 'herd'. Also there was quite a bit of drinking involved but that was more down to the ages of people on the tour, and not organised like this by the tour manager.

The trip itself is incredible value for money! The accommodation was always good (Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays was a huge highlight) with breakfast included everywhere (sometimes cooked by our very own Contiki team). There are so many inclusions- more on this one than on any other Contiki I have done previously. I could never have organised the same trip for myself at that price. The Me-Time Optionals are so well-organised and thought out, always at a competitive price. Our tour managers were amazing at organising the optionals and ensuring that they fit into our day and that we could sign up for them with friends for added enjoyment.
