I recently went on the Croatian Island Hopper which departed on the 22/7 from Dubrovnik to Split. I was travelling with my husband. We had a great time- Croatia was beautiful and the group we were in was great and Brando our tour manager was a legend but we were extremely disappointed with the boat/accommodation. When we booked via email I asked her to send me a photo of a boat similar to what we would be travelling on. She sent through a photo and said this was all she had- which we were happy and grateful for. Unfortunately this was not the boat we were on. Our boat was old, much smaller than all the others and frequently lost power. There was not outdoor tables, chairs or decks to sit around as group (only 6 deck chairs with 17 of us on board) All the other boats docked next to us (Adonis/Panorama) had large areas for the group to get together and bond and we literally had no space. We had a large generator next to our room which was VERY noisy and smelt like petrol. We were not told we would be sleeping in bunks- which was ok, except that we paid extra to be on the top deck and it turned out the bottom rooms had bigger beds so we would have been better off saving our money. We would have paid extra money if we were offered a double bed or air conditioning but it was not offered. The chef having gastro and the whole boat getting gastro the next day was also not much fun. The drinks on board were very overpriced and mainly just juice which was disappointing as we could see what all the other boats were offered. If you have the chance to go with Sail Croatia or another company I would after the experience we had!
